Okay I know I have not updated in sooooooo long, I'm so very sorry for that. I've had to deal with some stuff for a while and they have just caught me off guard from writing. I just didn't have the motivation to write but I'm slowly getting back into it and posting more chapters. I love this story and I hope many of my viewers do too so I'm defiantly not gonna abandon it.

If you are still reading this story, thank you for being so patient with me. <3

Scott kept looking at the date on his phone and calendar, he even asked Siri what the date was so he could confirm that it was in fact the day of Mitch's funeral.

Damn it!

Well he can't run away now. He has exactly two hours until the ceremony and he hadn't even managed to get in the shower yet.

Did he really have to go?

Scott smacked himself mentally at the thought. Of course he had to, its Mitch for Christ sake!

He pushed himself off the bed and decided enough is enough, there was no time for him to keep moping around. Maybe this is the sort of closure he needs to finally move on.

He got himself into the bathroom, putting all his weight on the sink as he looked at himself in the mirror, noticing the deep bags under his eyes and hair that hasn't been combed or washed in days.

"Come on...Do it for Mitch."

Scott was one of the last people to arrive which obviously was expected since they hadn't started without him.

But it just made him feel even more anxious.

"Scott." His mother called from the front row. His eyes wouldn't leave the coffin that was placed on the table but he slowly managed to move himself to sit down next to his parents and Mitch's family.

"I'm so glad you came, honey. It means a lot to us." Nel whispered placing a hand on his leg and giving him a comforting smile. Scott managed to smile back and gave a single nod.

Scott didn't even pay attention to the 30 people who gave their speeches about how great Mitch was or when they met. They weren't important, some of them even stopped talking to Mitch before he became famous and now they're acting like they were best friends with him for years. It drove Scott crazy.

None of these people knew who Mitch Grassi really was.

Just then Avi and Kevin both went up, both with tears in their eyes. Scott sat up straighter to pay attention to what they have to say.

Kevin went first, he talked about how he and Mitch met and his first thoughts on him and how he grew to love him with all his heart.

"Mitch was one of my best friends, he was funny, kind, sassy, always knew how to make people smile. One thing I admired about Mitch was he always came to me when he needed advice." Kevin laughed a bit. "Actually funny story, Mitch came to me for advice when he first developed feelings for Scott." Scott's eyes widened in shock, leaning forward a bit in his seat. "He was so scared and I think it was the first time he truly didn't know what to do. I was honoured he came to me first, I told him...I told him love was complicated, it's a pile of good things and bad things. Like love can be unexpected, it hits you hard and it doesn't go away. To love is to be happy with. He told me he'd never felt that way about someone before, someone who made him feel confident and safe and loved."

"We are all going to miss him with all our hearts, but God will be looking after him now. They've gained a beautiful angel now." Scott teared up as did a lot of people, Kevin's words really helped Scott realise just how much he needed this to accept it. Mitch did love him. This might be just what needs to let go.
