"Right, so how are you going to do this, guys?" Their manager asked the group as they stood awkwardly apart from one another.

Kevin rubbed the back of his neck, Avi stood with his hands in his pockets looking down at the ground, Kirstie wrapped her arms around her body and Scott leaned on to one of his crutches trying to avoid contact with anyone.

"Okay great! Good thing we planned this before hand because we knew you'd be like this. Obviously this is a rough time for all of you but this is the right thing to do. I hope you guys know that."

Each of them nodded slowly, heading to the private room where the laptop was set up.

"Would you rather be sitting or standing?"

"I think standing would be better, unless Scott wants a seat." Kevin answered.

"I'm fine." Scott whispered, finding support on his crutches.

"Right, standing it is. I'll erm...leave you guys to it." Their manager left them in the room to start the broadcast which the rest of the crew will be watching in the other room.

Avi was the first to move over to the laptop, loading up the live YouTube broadcast. Before he clicked 'start' he looked back at the others waiting for approval before they started.

Kevin took a deep breath and nodded. "We're ready."

Avi took a second and brushed the mouse over the button on the screen, hesitant to click it. Because once it was clicked, the notifications will flood every fans mailbox telling them that PTX are now live and everyone will rush to the website hoping for good news about tour.

The button was pressed and the loading symbol appeared on the screen, everyone started shuffling a bit trying to make themselves comfortable before the video started. Just before the video came on, their screen was already flooded with fans saying 'hey!' Or 'OMG hi!'

And that's when they all regretted starting it.

As soon as the video came on, the four members gave weak smiles on the camera trying to seem positive before they gave out the news.

Already comments like 'where's Mitch?' And 'Mitchy's not there!' were rapidly flying past the screen, making everyone's heart ache.

"Uh, hey guys! It's good to see y'all again." Avi spoke trying to change the fans comments about Mitch, which seemed to be working because they were all hooked on him now.

"So...you're probably wanting to hear more news on the tour..."

More comments came on asking questions.

'Yes!'
'Are you performing To The River??!'
'Pls do No!'
'Just bought my tickets! So excited!'

And so on...

"Unfortunately we have some news to tell you guys. Although we are not quite sure how to tell you..."

Avi looked back at the guys, but mainly at Scott as if to ask permission for him to tell the fans. Scott gave a single nod and averted his eyes from the screen.

"Uh...recently, Scott and Mitch w-were in a..." Avi stopped himself so he could gain control of his words again, taking a deep breath. "They were in an accident."

'Omg! Are they okay!'
'Scott looks sad...he hasn't got Mitch with him..'
'Is that why Mitch isn't there?! Is he okay!'
'Scott looks like he doesn't want to be here...'
'Is this a joke?'
'Is Mitch in the hospital?'
'Pls be okay babies!'
'Is Scott leaning on crutches??! I can see them behind Kirstie'

"It was a car accident that happened while coming back from rehearsal and...Scott managed to get out with a few injuries, which explains him being on crutches. Mitch however...was a little more serious..."

'Oh no! Is my baby okay!'
'Pls don't tell me he's in some sort of coma and tour's cancelled?!'
'Is that why he's not with you?'
'I hope he gets better! He will make it through!'
'Don't worry Scott, Mitch is strong!'

"And...he.....guys I don't think I can do this..." Avi looked back at his friends with tears in his eyes.

Kevin put a hand on his shoulder giving him a weak smile. "It's okay..." Kevin took over, quickly glancing at all the worried comments. "What happened was the truck that hit them...came from the passengers side of car and Mitch...Mitch um....died instantly on impact....I'm so sorry..."

'WHAT!! NOoOoo!😭😭😭'
'You're kidding right? This is a joke...'
'Mitch can't be dead! He can't! 😭'
'NOT MY BABY!!!'
'I'm crying so hard right now! 😭'

Scott saw the screen flood with crying emojis and fans saying how they wanted it to be fake, he couldn't believe he did this to the fans. It was his fault. They're all going to hate him. He would always blame himself.

"This is a really tough time for all of us, some of us are still trying to come to terms with it." Kevin quickly glanced at Scott, giving him away slightly. "Unfortunately this also means that our world tour will no longer be happening and...Pentatonix will probably no longer be together..."

Everyone snapped their heads towards Kevin at the sudden new decision he made but it's not like they haven't thought about it, they just thought they'd at least talk first.

"Mitch was...a very unique character. He had a personality that could make a grumpy old man smile. And his voice..." Kevin smiled for a second, remembering. "He had a voice like no other, a voice that could enchant all of us. It's hard to believe we'll never get to hear it again..." His voice cracked a little, blinking a few times to dry away his tears.

"He was taken far too young from all of us. Far too young...but he'll be watching over us now, he'll be safe. This is a time for all of us to grieve together and remember who Mitch Grassi was, remember every laugh, smile, every time he sassed one of us."

The four members laughed lightly but Scott's eyes also filled up with tears as he remembered.

"I'm sorry..." Scott's voice cracked as he whispered to the group before limping away from the camera.

"Scott-" Avi started to call out to him but Kevin interrupted him.

"Let him be. We are going to wrap this up anyway." Kevin returned to the camera, his heart breaking as he continued to read all the upset comments. "We won't disappear for good, but understand if we are absent for a while, but for now all we ask of you is...to remember Mitch...thank you, for everything. And goodbye."

Avi signed off the livestream and turned to his friends, embracing them in a hug.

Scott watched them from the other side of the door and sighed, bringing a hand up to his face to wipe his tears. It's done, Kevin said it.

Pentatonix has officially broken up...
