I walked into Jaime an Vic's house when I saw Effy practically stumbling down the stairs. I embraced her into a hug.

"Eff, you okay?" I whispered into her ear.

She nodded. I didn't buy it. I knew something was up.

I picked her up and walked upstairs. she seemed lighter than usual.

We got to her room and I sat her on her bed.

"Stephanie Marie, what's wrong?" I ask her concerned.

I could see tears brimming up in her eyes.

"School is what's wrong." She quivered.

I rubbed her shoulder. "What about school?" I began to worry.

Effy took a deep breath and started. "Ever since middle school everyone always made fun of me for wearing band tee's and having 'scene' hair. That's not so bad, not everyone likes the same stuff. Well then high school started and I got made of for having two dads. I'm also not the brightest or the most popular. I would get made fun of for that. Last year I got a boyfriend, Corey. Remember him? Well apparently he didn't like me an he was just using me to get the girl he actually liked to get jealous. And guess what it worked because she then started rumors about how I'm a slut and that I got pregnant. Soon after that people started texting me and messaging me to go kill myself and the I'm worthless and that no one loves me. I couldn't take it anymore, I began to cut myself. Now they are telling me that I'm fat and ugly, that I'm not good enough. I haven't eaten a legit meal in a month, Alex...and now she's here. The voices made their own person. She keeps telling me to do bad things" At time I was silently crying.

"And that's not all of it. Everyday a group of kids find that they need to beat me up. Just this morning they knocked me unconscious, but I can't tell my dads. I don't want them to worry about it." Effy cried

"You're going to have to tell them at some point, Eff. this could get serious." I choked out.

She gave me a sad look. "Please don't tell them."

I nodded and kissed her forehead. of course I was going to let them know about the cutting and not eating, but I will let her tell them about the rest. I kissed her head and got up.

"Let's go downstairs, yeah?" I said trying to change the subject.

She too got up and hugged me. "Thank you for listening." she whispered.

I just squeezed her tighter. We got downstairs and Jack jumped onto Effy giving her a hug.

"Hey Eff, I missed you!" He shouted. Effy laughed and hugged him back and we made our way to the living room.

(Jack)

I saw Alex and Effy walk downstairs. I jumped on to her giving her a hug.

"Hey Eff, I missed you!" I practically shouted.

Effy laughed and hugged me back. It wasn't like a normal Effy hug. She seemed weaker, now that I think about it she looked thinner too... a lot thinner. I just shook my head and we headed to the living room where the guys were.

"So what are we doing tonight?" I asked breaking the awkward silence.

"How about we build a fort and have a movie night?" Effy said barely loud enough to be heard.

"That sounds a little childish, Effy, don't you think?" Mike chuckled.

"Effy, why don't you go do that in your room, while us grown ups talk." Vic told her.

Effy's face seemed to go pale. She looked like she was going to break down.

"That's a great idea! What do you think Jack?" Rian asked me.

"Huh? Yeah sure." I answered not really knowing what I agreed too.

I saw that Effy had left the room. I wonder where she went. I got up.

"Uh, I'll be right back." I said as I walked out of the room.

"If I were Effy where would I go?" I whispered to myself.

"The hideout!" I almost shouted.

I quickly ran upstairs to Effy's room. I opened the door and made my way to her closet. The window to her hideout was open. I claimed into it and saw something I wish I never did.

Effy's wrists were bleeding, bad. I ran to her.

"Effy, why did you do this? I choked.

"I don't want to be here anymore, Jacky." She cried.

I held her frail body in my arms.

"Baby, why would you say that?!" I quivered, trying to be as strong as I could.

"Because nobody likes me... I'm just a waste of space!" She quietly shouted.

"No you're not." A voice said.

I looked over to see Alex. He came over to us.

"Effy, baby, listen to me. There are so many people that love you. Jack, Tony, Zack, Rian, Mike, me. He'll Vic and Jaime, if they lost you, I don't even know what they would do. You're their world Effy." He said

"And you're not a waste of space. You are a smart beautiful girl. I have never met anyone that has so many talents besides Jaime. You're very special Effy." I smiled at her.

She gave Alex and I a hug. "I love you guys." she whispered.

"Let's go get you cleaned up and we can have a movie night in your room." I smiled.

We got into her room." I'll start the fort." Alex said.

Effy and I and to her bathroom where I cleaned up and bandaged her arms.
