One Step Closer

Faith POV

I straightened out my house and I started to get ready for the party tonight. I turned on Jacquees and started to cook the food, I planned on making deviled eggs, potato salad, spaghetti, and laying out some chips and dip and then have liquor and other drinks to serve. I called Tyler to see what she was doing and whenever I got off the phone with her I would call Jacob to see what he was up to. "Hey Faith, what you doing boo?" She said "Getting ready for the party, what about you?" I asked "Nothing much being single and looking cute waiting for the New Year" she said I laughed "Girl I can't wait for this party" I said "Me either, I always get hangovers" we laughed "I'm finna go get some liquor see you tonight" she said. I called Jacob but he didn't answer he must've been sleep.

Tyler POV

I almost spilled the beans, Jacob asked me how the phone call went I told him that I almost told her. "You did a good job, I got the ring now I have to come up with something romantic to say" he said "How about will you bare our children for starters" I said "Are you done playing now?" He asked "Just let it come from the heart, I can't wait to see her reaction she finally getting the ring" I said "Play a song to set the mood" he said "Alright just as long as you invite a friend of yours for me, he gotta be tall and chocolate and fine as hell" I said "I actually do have the perfect friend for you, now I'm not sure what your definition of fine is but how does taller than me sound?" he asked laughing "God is good let me shout right quick" I said pretending to shout "You have some serious issues, alright we got the ring now let's go" he said. I am just so excited and I can't wait for him to propose to my best friend, after everything she's been through she deserves it.

Jacob POV

I don't know how Faith can deal with her, she is crazy. I checked my phone and I missed a call from Faith so I decided to call her back "Hey bae" she said "Hey, sorry I didn't answer earlier, I was busy at the moment" I said "Oh that's okay, I thought you were sleep anyways" she said "Is it okay if I invite a friend of mine to the party?" I asked "Sure as long as he or she doesn't try to kill me" she said "You think I would let that happen?" I said "I was kidding, but I'm so excited for this party " she said "Me too especially since... I get to spend time with you" I said, I almost the her "Are you okay, you seem a little nervous she said "I'm fine, but what are you doing right now?" I asked "Getting ready for this party, cooking, making a playlist and making drinks what a out you?" She asked "Nothing much waiting to see my baby in a few hours" I said "Yep a few more hours, so when I'm finished with all these preparations I'm gonna take a nap then get ready for the party" she said "Alright well I'll see you later babe" I said. When she's officially mine I swear I'm going to spoil her, she sounds so exhausted and I wouldn't let her stress herself out like that.

Faith POV

I planned on playing old school and new school music I had  finished everything that needed to be done but I didn't have time for a nap so I just went to my room and picked out my outfit I decided to put on my black skin tight dress, black stilettos, and gold accessories. Once I finished flat ironing  my hair I waited for people to start arriving. It was 9:30, Tyler came up to the door she had a few bottles of Ciroc and she brought a few jars of pickles "Hey girl" I said laughing "Hey boo, who all here?" She asked "Well for right now just me and you nobody came yet". Suddenly two cars pulled up, one was Jacob's car and I couldn't identify who the other person was "Hey baby" Jacob said getting out of the car walking up to me "Hey, do you know who that is?" I asked pointing to the car looking confused "Oh yeah, that's my co worker and best friend Tony, I brought him for her" he said pointing to Tyler "Oh alright I'm cool with that" I said "You look beautiful bae, who you trying to look cute for?" He asked looking me up and down biting his lip "Thank you, and I'm looking cute for myself" I said "Wrong answer" he said grabbing my butt I laughed "I'm looking good for you bae" I said "You better, and what about me how I look?" He asked "You look great, and you smell amazing" I said. Tyler came outside to me and Jacob while Jacob's friend  Tony came up to us "Hey yall, how's it going?" Tyler asked "It's going great, this is my friend Tony" Jacob said introducing him.
