I couldn't tell you how long I gaped at those God-forsaken wings. I had even touched them softly to make sure they were real. It honestly had felt like a dream, and Hideki looked like he was having a nightmare.
"Of course the moment I find a girl that I like," He paused frowning, "She ends up being something that could easily kill me." Setsuna just rolled his eyes, and walked away. I wanted to call out for him because for demons, they were not as vile as they were usually made out to be. Hideki had followed him, and I found myself disappointed slightly. I looked to Isei and felt a warmth suddenly consume me.
"Can you take me there?" I asked hopefully. "To heaven?"
Isei seemed to freeze, "Well, not right now, but maybe eventually." He grinned, but it seemed kind of solemn. I frowned.
"Why can't I remember anything?" I pleaded softly, but he simply shrugged.
"You'd better get back to class." He started walking, and I had to jog to keep up with him.
"Wait," I called, "How do I put these things away?" Isei suddenly looked amused, and he walked over to me. He touched a certain place on my back, and like magic my wings disappeared. Which left me somewhat disappointed. He looked at his schedule, and smiled. I pulled up my schedule, and realized that we had every single class together. I nearly groaned, but held it in. I looked at Isei with curiosity.
"Can I see your wings?" I asked, and it hit a nerve. He suddenly tensed slightly, and turned to me. He doesn't touch anything, but a flutter of movement blinded me for a second. I stared. Isei stood there with only one wing. It was swirled with black patterns that seemed to have a demonic aura to it. I narrowed my eyes, "You can't fly, can you?"
He looked down in defeat, but I sighed. "I was going to tell you Soriyu--" He started.
"No, I don't want to hear it." I replied coldly and stalked towards my house which was a few blocks away from the school. I felt his desperate gaze follow me, but I ignored it, and stopped in front of my blue house. I slowly turned the knob, and my mom was standing there glaring at me. Wait, would she be my mom if I'm an angel? I wondered to myself in bewilderment.
"Soriyu, you know better than to get in trouble at school," She scolded, and I looked at her black hair. I realized she looked nothing like me, and I scoffed.
"You're not my mother, are you?" I snarled at her, and she looked taken aback as I stalked past her. Suddenly the door bursted open, and Isei walked in with a rocket launcher pointed at my mother. "House keeping," he called. When he saw my mother, his grin faded. "Soriyu, get the fuck over here." He commanded me. I looked at him with confusion, but obeyed. "Demon, if you are to live in this world, you might as well hide your power," He noted as if it were obvious. My mother-demon thing smiled with pleasure.
"It seems like I've found another fallen angel." Horns grew from her head, and it looked like a crown type thing. Fangs grew in place of her teeth, and wings expanded from her body. I felt faint all of the sudden. The person I had been living with for the past two months was a demon, who God knows what it wanted to do with me. I shuddered with the thought. Isei glared at mother-demon.
"Boom goes the dynamite." He smiled, and shot the rocket launcher.
