I couldn't stop thinking about Luke as i was walking home, he just has a way of capturing peoples minds. He was all i could think about until I walked through my front door, the smell of whatever my mom was cooking throwing me off. I walked into the kitchen to see my mom at the stove stirring something in a pan.
"Smells good, what is is?" I asked.
"Stir fry, go get two plates out and some silverware and set the table." she didn't even take her eyes off the food.
I set the table quickly the smell driving me to get it done so I could steal some out of the pan while my mom wasn't looking.
"How was your day at school, make any friends?" my mom always asked me the same question year after year my answer usually being no, so when i told her i had met a boy she was shocked.
"You what?" she was smiling I could tell she was happy i finally had human interaction with someone that wasn't her or close family.
"I met a boy, I saw him this morning on my way to school and then when I went to the beach he showed up there." I explained how I had met Luke
"Is he cute?" she asked while bringing the food to the table.
"I, um he's alright, I think he's cute but I barely know him." I scooped some stir fry onto my plate.
"I'll give it a couple months and then we will see how you still feel about this boy." she went on eating her own food. The rest of dinner went smoothly, my mom and I just making small talk.
After dinner my mom and i washed the dishes and then my mom sat down on the couch and started watching TV. I decided to go up to my room and shower.
After I got out of the shower I threw on a t-shirt and underwear. I then sat down in front of the mirror and braided my hair for bed, my music played softly in the background. It was only ten o'clock and i wasn't that tired so i decided to re-read "The Fault in Our Stars" again. I finished the book and then looked at the clock it was 1:28 AM, i guess i lost track of time. I decided to go to bed after finishing the emotional roller coaster of Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters.

My alarm clock rang too early for my liking. I groaned rolling out of bed and stumbling into my bathroom to get ready for school. I undid my braid and ran my fingers through my hair a couple times. I did my normal makeup and went to get dressed. I wore a loose floral print dress with a light sweater over it and tights and white converse. My outfit was cute but also comfortable, something I found a very important aspect in clothes.
I grabbed my bag and swung it over my shoulder and running down the stairs and out the door, skipping breakfast entirely, a routine i was used to after years of not eating breakfast.
I took the same route to school as I did yesterday, passing Luke's house, but his car wasn't there I guess he left already.
I arrived at school on time going to my first class, English. My teacher Mr.Davis called role and plunged right into a lecture about sentence structure and proper grammar. The class went fast and next I knew the bell was ringing dismissing us to our next class. The day hauled on like any school day until lunch came around.
I dumped my books in my locker and made my way through the crowded halls to the lunch room. My eyes scanned the room for a place to sit looking over all the people already sat with their friends. I sighed and made my way to the farthest side of the cafeteria to an empty table and sat down alone. I laid my head down at the table tired of the day already and bored due to my lack of friends to talk to.
I had been sitting for about 10 minutes when i felt someone beside me nudge my arm. I looked up to be met with Luke's blue eyes staring at me.
"um, hi?" my words came out as more of a question
"Hello" Luke chirped
"What are you doing here?" I asked Luke
"Well, I was wondering if after school I could give you a ride to the swings?" his eyes were pleading and his voice was soft as he spoke.
"I guess that would work." I smiled at Luke
"Good, so please do tell me something Scarlett, why is a pretty girl like you sitting at lunch alone?" Luke wore aa cheeky smile as he complimented me.
"Oh but Luke I am anythng but alone, I am pleased to have your company." My words dripped with sarcasm and cockiness. Luke giggled at my response.
"Oh luke," his eyes met mine, "what's your last name?" my question was lame but I was dying to know.
"Hemmings, Luke Hemmings. What's yours?"
"Monroe." my answer was short, but i didn't know what else to say.
"Scarlett Monroe, hmm I like it." Luke whispered.
"I never asked if you liked it, but thanks I guess." Luke and I were extremely close I could feel his warm breath agaist my face.
I pulled my head back slightly looking at Luke still. We stared at each other for a while neither of us breaking our strong gazes.
Time seemed to fly by while I was looking at Luke because the bell rand after what felt like thirty seconds but was really twenty minutes.
We eached grabbed our bags and made our way to our next class which happened to be double science together.
During the whole lesson Luke and I stole glances at each other and making faces at each other. Shortly the final bell rang and Luke was at my side almost instantly.
"Ready to go?" Luke grabbed my bag and I followed him out of the class room.
"Let me justput these books up and we'll go." I smiled as Luke followed me to my locker.
I placed my books in and shut my locker looking at Luke as we started walking to theparking lot.
Spending the afternoon with Luke should be fun. I smiled at the thought of him and i spending all afternoon together and got in his car.

sorry I didn't update yesterday my friend was over.
I also go to school in 2 days so bear with me as i get an update schedule worked out.
