Hey guys! Don't know how you got here but I'm glad you did ;-).
This is my new story about Clexa and I hope you're gonna enjoy it as much as I did writing it.
There are gonna be several POV's.
Since I'm German and therefore English isn't my first language.. it could be that you'll find one or two mistakes... so be patient with me. <3

As Lexa made her way through the customers, a breeze of cigarettes and alcohol rippled through her hair. With two plates of beer and booze in every hand, she wore an old black jeans and a short black shirt that read: lust bar-get what you want. Even though Lexa refused to wear that shirt at first, she had to accept it after a short time and since then, she would avoid watching the bitchy self in the mirror.
She brought the plates to a dozen men, already drunk. One of them smacked her butt when she turned around to bring their empty glasses back to the counter, making lexa clench her teeth. Normally, she would turn around and punch the hell out of him but, unfortunately, she had to keep her job to finance the drugs she needed regularly.
A couples of hours later, after she got rid of her working shirt and put on her old hoodie, she made her way back to the orphanage she had lived at for 3 years now. She could have used the well lit streets but she took the dark little crooked lanes instead.
She didn't mind the darkness anymore. 10 years earlier she would do anything to avoid being alone in the dark, and every time her mother tried to convince her being brave and strong before she turned off the light, lexa would end up sneaking into her parents bedroom, standing with her pink colored Pyjama and a battered old looking teddy bear in her arms in front of her mother's side of the bed, asking her mother to cuddle her to sleep.
After her parents died, Lexa died as well. Maybe not physically, but her old self got lost into darkness that was even darker than her old bedroom had been at night. That darkness was worse than every nightmare she had. Lexa had become a totally different person - she even slept under an old stone bridge just days after she lost her family, until the police had found her and brought her to the next orphanage in which she stayed for 3 months, until she had to move to the next because of showing aggressive and disturbing fighting behavior she had acquired herself within these months.

Lexa's steps echoed through the small lanes whilst she fished out a packet of fags out of her trousers pocket. She then turned right, following an even smaller street, until she reached a bench in a barely lighted park. She sat down, crossing her legs and lighting a fag. Heavy smoke welled out of her mouth and nose as she exhaled. She then closed her eyes, trying to escape from her life for a moment that turned out to be over very soon. A loud grunt and heavy steps caused her to open her eyes and to sit up straight. All she could see was a tall shadow walking towards her, a figure that she slowly began to recognize.
She stood up and toddled. Her vision got blurry and Lexa blamed it on her long work shift instead of her intense drug consumption. Just as she was about to regain control over herself again, a firm grip forced her to fall back onto the bench. With her fag still in her left hand she tried to throw off the man she clearly knew as the usual drunk pervert in the bar she worked at, and who had smacked her ass the same night.
"Hold still whore!" He demanded, pressing his body onto hers. "Now you're mine and you won't escape!"
He was tall, heavy and strong, but Lexa just snarled.
"Get THE FUCK off me you stinking pervert!" Her attacker let out a dirty laugh and unzipped his pants with his one hand, whilst Lexa broke free from his grip and quick as a lightning stubbed out her cigarette on his face. "Take this you freak!" She shouted and pushed him onto the ground before he could even start to squall in pain. "You..you.." he shouted angrily while he was about to grab her leg, she pulled back just in time. "You great warrior you wanted to say" She grinned before she pulled him by his hair and pounded his head hard against the ground. One could hear a loud crack, followed by a gurgle. Seconds later, blood streamed out of his mouth, and he whimpered when Lexa left.
She turned around one last time, looking at her victory, smiling and being satisfied. She had won.
"Don't dare following me ever again."

"Markus Kane, what an honor to see you again after all these years!" The black lady Judy Wilson, head of the orphanage said as she shook Marcus' hand. He was tall, had short black hair and was in his early 40s.
"What can I do for you Marcus? I'm pretty sure you're not here to catch up, are you?"
Marcus nodded. "Unfortunately not Judy, but we definitely need to catch up someday." He smiled and pulled out an already opened red letter out of his pocket. "I'm here because I found this letter from Callie.." he placed it on the table in front of Judy. "Callie? What do you mean? She died 3 years ago, didn't she?" Judy frowned and opened the letter.
"She did, I finally made time to tidy the basement.. and well I've found a whole box of letters she must have written to me whilst she already sat sick at home." Judy nodded and folded her hands. "I understand, but why are you here then Kane?"
Kane could see the disappointment in judy's eyes when he mentioned Callie's name. He knew Judy had a huge crush on him before and whilst he dated Callie in university, but she was his last hope.
"Callie and me wanted to have a third child since our kids have grown up way too fast but unfortunately, her disease didn't let it happen."
"The reason why you're here Kane."
"Her last wish was to adopt a child, to give it a chance to have a normal life." He answered calmly. Judy sighed but opened the upper drawer of her desk and pulled out a paper.
"Alright, get yourself a coffee or something and we'll meet during lunchtime again, so you can meet all of them without anyone missing."
Marcus let out a small smile as he got up, shaking judy's hand and walking outside the building.

---

"Dad leave it up to me, I'll find the perfect one for our family." Octavia, a dark haired girl with green eyes tried to calm down her father.
"I know. Thank you for coming, I don't think your brother would of been a great help." Marcus rolled his eyes at the thought of Bellamy actually trying to integrate himself into the family.
"Nah." Octavia shook her head. "He's way too lazy."
Seconds later, loud steps of heels echoed through the boringly white painted entrance and soon Octavia met her father's old friend he had described as friendly, prude but yet very strict.
"Judy." He welcomed her but only got a cold nod as a response. "Follow me, they're having lunch." She said and walked towards a wooden door that she slowly opened and held open for Octavia and Marcus.
When the girl entered the big room with her father, her expectations were disappointed by the massive amount of teenagers around her age that must have been living there for ages. She could feel her heart breaking into pieces when she scanned the white empty walls and old dirty tables the children and young adults had to eat from. That wasn't even close to what she thought and expected from a highly regarded orphanage. Indeed, she thought people were having proper meals and proper dining areas with at least a small scent of feeling at home, but little did she know.
Boys and girls were wearing old clothes, some of them even clothes they had been long grown out from. Octavia swallowed.
"Listen!" The black woman shouted, and immediately everyone stopped talking.
Octavia wondered, what Judy had done to these people to get their respect since she knew kids were rebelling at this age.
"Here are Marcus Kane and his daughter standing next to me, and they will take one of you home. Be nice, be respectful and maybe you'll be the one."
Loud whispering appeared, until the creaky wooden door swung open again and fell back into its lock with a loud noise.
When Octavia turned around, a tall girl around her age stood in front of her, looking surprised but then walked to an empty seat, ready to sit down but being suddenly stopped by Judy who pulled her back on her hood.
