the nostalgia generation breeds uncertainty,
because there is a definitive moment,
in between the act of staring at your vision grace
and your phone.
the painful decision to assimilate
into the culture of staring into my screen and talking to
you through the streams of a satellite,

because you're sitting right next to me
but my fears hold me back.
(fears of reality and rejection)
After all, confessions and secrets
are much better under the anonymous haze
of the world wide web,
even if there is an entire galaxy
unspoken between us.
