YES! This ship, for a while, was my OTP! The way I found Wattpad was for Amourshipping! Heck, this was my first ship ever! That is what it means to me! Even today! For like the first six months of Wattpad, that was all I read. Amour fanfics. What I am saying is I really like Amourshipping.
Amourshipping derives from the French word L'amour. This word translates to love. This is very suitable, since Kalos is based off of France, and Serena has a canonical crush on Ash.
That's another thing. Why does this ship make sense? There are so many reasons for this. For one, Ash and Serena met when they were young at Professor Oak's Summer Camp, and Serena has had a crush on him ever since. Also, there are so many hints from both sides. On the obvious side, there is Serena. She blushes all the time around Ash, and has the crush obviously, and that's really all the big things. But, contrary to a lot of peoples beliefs, there are a lot of hints from our dense bro, Ash. Whenever the group gets separated, Ash calls out to Serena first. Also, every time Serena changes into an outfit, Ash stares in awe, and also compliments her a lot. There are so many more reasons this ship is so awesome.
Also, you may ask why I prefer this ship over Poké, Advance, Pearl, and Negaishipping? Well, there aren't many Pokeshipping hints, Advanceshipping is kind of defeated by Contestshipping, there aren't many Pearlshipping hints, there is Ikarishipping, and a lot of pearl shippers are just mean, and Negaishipping has Wishfullshipping. That was just a shortened version of it. There are many more reasons, but that is it.
Also, there is one point that I forgot when I originally published. One point that tops Amourshipping making it even better. Amourshipping IS canon. In the last episode of XY&Z, as Serena is parting ways with the rest of the gang, she runs up the escalator and kisses Ash. Do you think it's not real? Oh it's real! The director even directly said It was a kiss. Just look. This is right before it happened:

Then, Serena says something among the lines of: "I will strive to become a more attractive woman." That is all basically.
Final Verdict: 12 out of 10. I love this ship so much, and it is my number 2 OTP! And it is Canon! That's all I have to say.
