This ship was requested by a number of people, but I remember mah boi TemmieCody requesting it.
So, Soriel.
I LOOOOOOOOOOVE this ship. Fun fact: this was my first Undertale ship. This is my third OTP in Undertale!!!!!
This ship works! First of all, it's the queen of puns and the king of puns. When you get to the little "date" scene with Sans at MTT resort on a neutral run (as long as you spare Papyrus) or Pacifist run, he talks about this giant door with an old lady behind it. They told jokes to each other, mostly knock knock jokes. Then, the "old lady" makes Sans promise to watch over any humans that fell down. Everyone knows that the giant door is the door is the door to the ruins, and the old lady is Toriel. If you killed Toriel, the feels hit you hard.
This ship is great, no matter what AU you are. They work perfectly together. Like Butterscotch and Cinnamon, or Ketchup and fries. Usually I don't ship people across two AU's, but for this ship, there is an exception. Underswap Sans and Alterswap Toriel go together beautifully. For those of you who don't know what Alterswap is, it is a combination of Altertale and Underswap. For those of you who don't know what Altertale is, Sans and Toriel switch places, Papyrus and Asgore switch places, and Asriel and Gaster switch places. Flowey has black petals instead of yellow.
Honestly, I can't see Sans with anyone else. Frisk and Chara are both children and not to mention different species, I see Undyne with Papyrus, as you know, and who the frick ships Sans with Muffet? Alphys could work, but I feel that she is too awkward to date anyone. And with Toriel, the only other person I can only see her possibly dating Asgore. The only problem is that they were married, and Toriel left him, and can barely stand him now. This ship just came naturally to me.
I can't find anything bad about it.
Final Verdict: 10 out of 1o. A great couple, and also likely the most popular, beside Alphyne.
