Matthew's POV:
After running through the rain, I caught Liz coughing. I checked if she's getting a fever, oh shoot! May lagnat siya. Her fever is so high, I better take care of her. Here in my hands, there is she, laying in the verge of sickness. Good thing I have some medicines here. Ma always says that I must bring some meds just in case.
Then I arrived at her home, since I saw the address in her name tag. Her stuff are wet so I put them aside. "Mat, my head hurts. Ouch!" I held her hands , reassuring her to calm down and say it's going to be ok. "Here, drink this *hands over the medicine*" Then she straightens her lying position in bed, weakly saying "Thank you, Matthew.🙂. Ikaw talaga ang the best. I think you will be a great friend because you are so caring." I blushed a little when she said that, but I didn't let it be obvious. I can't let her see me blushing like crazy.😳. "U-um sure. I look at you as my friend for now. Anything for you m-my friend. H-here's some food! I will feed you."
"Sure M-Mat!" "Say aaaah!" "Aaaah!" After a few spoons of soup, I cracked a joke, "Takaw mo! You eat too much!" She slap me in the chest afterwards "Matthew naman eh!!!" We both laughed at ourselves! Hahahah! While scrubbing some cold water on her arms with a sponge, she asked me "Matthew, have you ever done this to other girls?" "Um, never. Since my ex girlfriend never lets me in her house. I really think that she was embarrassed with me since I'm just a poor guy or just a scholar in Greenland Academy. Palibhasa hindi ako mayaman." "No, that ain't right, a girl must love you for who you are not what you have. She's even lucky she had a boyfriend like you in her life."
I was touched by her words. I feel like no one has ever said that to me in centuries. "Sige na! Matulog ka na! You say too much things! Daldal mo!" "You're so mean! Jk! I'm sleepy. Goodnight. Plus, I feel so much better!" "Goodnight!" "Goodnight, Matthew!" As I caressed her forehead with soft thick tresses of black hair.
