Chapter 40: The Forgotten Promise

HYERI closed the bathroom's door while wipe her hands with towel. She saw a paper bag on the table, "Oh, Hyunwoo brought some kimchi?"

She looked around and didn't see any sign of Hyunwoo. She realize that her workroom still had light on, "Geez. I told him to switch off the light."

Hyeri walked to her workroom and leaned at the door while facing Hyunwoo's back that wearing his hoodie. She looked at Hyunwoo that facing the whiteboard where she wrote the storyline for Got7's fanfiction story.

"Oh, you see that? I gather all the information that I gained from them and wrote it there to make a storyline for each of the members. It's kind of hard actually because I need to write seven different stories about them. What do you think, Hyunwoo-yah?"

Suddenly that guy turned his back and Hyeri really shocked to see the person that she thought was Hyunwoo, "Yu... Yugyeom-ah! Why are you...?"

Yugyeom looked at Hyeri from head to toe with his face as shocked as Hyeri, "Noo... noona? Why you dress like...?" Yugyeom then realize the newspaper and magazines cutting that being frames and fill the room's wall.

"Yugyeom-ah, I can explain to you..." Hyeri getting panic.

Yugyeom looked at Hyeri, "You are... Lily?"

Hyeri gulped, "Yugyeom-ah, listen..."

"You are actually that famous writer Lily? The writer that Jinyoung hyung fanatic of?" asked Yugyeom.

"Yugyeom-ah..."

"What are these things then? Why you wrote all Got7's name here? Why everything that happened to us being written here? WHAT ARE YOU DOING ACTUALLY?!" shouted Yugyeom.

"BECAUSE I'M WRITING GOT7'S FANFICTION!" shouted Hyeri back.

Yugyeom looked at Hyeri with disbelief look, "What?"

Hyeri breathe heavily, "Yes. I'm actually that famous writer Lily. I'm disguise myself as Got7's manager to collect the data and information that I can use for the stories."

Yugyeom lowered his head for a while before lifted it back, "So... you've being lying to us for all this time? You pretend to be the so-called nerd when actually you have fans as much as us? YOU PRETEND TO BE NICE JUST FOR YOUR STUPID STORIES?!" burst Yugyeom again.

"THOSE STUPID STORIES ARE FOR GOT7'S COMEBACK!"

"What?!"

Hyeri clutched her fist trying to gain strength to explain, "JYP asked me to write Got7's fanfiction stories that will include in Got7's upcoming album."

"In our upcoming album? So that's why..."

"Yes. That's why when I'm going to stop as you guys' manager, JYP forced you guys to bring me back or you guys won't have the comeback because the special item that will include in that album is the fanfiction stories written by me."

Yugyeom let out disbelief laugh wondering if he's dreaming.

"I admit that I was lying to you guys but I have to. If I'm not doing it, you guys won't have that comeback. I'm almost finishing it. I will go when everything is done so you don't need to face me anymore."

"How about Jinyoung hyung?" Yugyeom asked while looking at Hyeri coldly.

"He doesn't know about this. I don't have any plan to tell him. I will still leave after JYP approved the manuscript," told Hyeri.

"So all your love towards him also fake?"

Hyeri silent for a while before answered, "You don't have to know that."

Yugyeom clenched his teeth before he left that room and walked towards the front door.

"Yugyeom-ah."

Yugyeom that wearing his shoes stopped when he heard Hyeri called out his name.

"I hope you won't tell other members. I'm still not finishing the stories yet," said Hyeri.

Yugyeom turned his back and glared at Hyeri, "I may punched you if you are a guy."

Hyeri just smirked. Yugyeom then left the room and straightly left Hyeri's house.

Hyeri let out heavy breath. She massaged her forehead, "How it can turned like this?"

YUGYEOM was not talking to Hyeri anymore since that incident. He was avoiding Hyeri whenever he saw her.

"Is that just me or Yugyeom actually keep avoiding you lately?" asked Jinyoung while sat besides Hyeri and drank his water.

Hyeri glanced at Yugyeom that actually glanced at her too before he looked to himself on the mirror again and keep practicing his dance.

"Really? I don't feel anything different. Maybe because you guys' comeback date getting nearer so everyone getting tense," said Hyeri while continue doing her work on the laptop.

"Hyeri-yah," Sooyeon that just came to room called Hyeri.

"Yes, eonni?"

"PD-nim wants to meet you," told Sooyeon.

"Park Jinyoung PD-nim?" asked Hyeri.

Sooyeon nodded. "He's waiting for you in his office."

"Okay, eonni! Thank you," Hyeri switch off her laptop and put it aside.

"Don't be so long, okay? This Park Jinyoung is going to miss you," teased Jinyoung.

Hyeri chuckled while poked Jinyoung's waist, "This clingy guy! Aigoo...!"

Hyeri walked out from that dance practice room and walked to the JYP's office. She knocked the door. After she received permission from JYP, she walked inside.

"Are you calling me, PD-nim?" asked Hyeri.

JYP looked at her with expression that hard to be read, "You may sit."

Hyeri sit on the chair in front of him. Her heart was beating fast for no reason. Is this how JYP artists felt when facing their president?

JYP rubbed his face before held his chin, "Hyeri-yah, why are you breaking our promise?"

Hyeri flinched, "P... promise? What did you say PD-nim?"

"Do you remember our first meeting in the café seven months ago?" asked JYP.

Hyeri gulped before nodded.

"I asked you to agree for this one condition. Do you remember what that condition was?" asked JYP again.

Hyeri lowered her head before slowly nodded again.

"You said that you agree with it. You promised me that you will follow my condition. But why you break that promise with dating Jinyoung?"

Hyeri lifted her head looking at JYP.
