Chapter 9 - Forgiveness and Applications

Once I had shown Gaara, Konkaro and Tamari to the meeting place for the Chunin exams, I made my way back to my favourite tree, I jump on each branch to get to my favourite spot. Where you can see the whole village.

I then see a group of boys older than me, walk towards the tree, I just look at them, they see that I am up there.

"Oi! This is our tree you freak! Go find somewhere else!" One boy shouts, I just look at him and stay still.

"Aren't you listening! He told you to move" Another shouted, I look at him and don't move.

I sit there staring at them, they just glare at me, I look away and look over the village, the boys climb the tree and stand in front of me.

"How may I help you?" I ask looking at them, the boys clench their fists and go to throw a punch, but I use the Substitution jutsu and walk away from the tree.

I watch as the boys look at the log in complete utter confusion, I chuckle to myself and continue walking.

I walk for an hour or two, I was daydreaming about what my life would be like if Zodiac was like my companion in flesh and blood, you know, like a wolf companion, but dreams don't come true.

I wasn't looking where I was walking and I bump into someone.

"I am so sorry, are you okay?" I ask immediately, my eyes widen as I see that the person I had bumped into was Sakura.

She takes a glance at me "Its okay Shira, it was an accident" she says calmly, I tilt my head in confusion and tense up just incase she hits me or something.

She chuckles and her smile fades, she looked unhappy, guilty, she looked as if she committed a murder and hadn't told anyone about it.

"Are you okay Sakura?" I ask concerned, she looks at me and tears fill her eyes.

'is she crying?'

'seems like it kid'

'what do I do?'

'i don't know, think of something'

'that was very helpful Zodiac, thanks'

'Anytime kid'

Sakura then grabs my arm, her eyes widen as she realises that I have much more muscular arms than she thought, she loosened her grip and looked at me dead in the eye.

"Shira, i-I am so sorry for the way I have been treating you, can we please start over?" She smiles slightly.

'I was not expecting that'

I smile back and nod and give her a hug, she looks really confused.

"A-Are you not mad at me?" She questions, I look at her and shake my head.

"Of course not, I always knew you had a kind heart from the day I met you, you only treated me like that so you could fit in with the others" I reply with a smile.

Me and Sakura walked around the village and sent to allsorts of different shops and restaurants.

After a great afternoon she went home with a smile on her face, I wave goodbye and walk towards my tree, when I got there I saw that it wasn't there, where did it go? Last time I checked it was there, I look down and see a pile of ash, yep you guessed it, those boys burnt it down whilst I was gone.

I sigh and make my way to Gramps's Office, I knock on the door and walk in.

"Why hello Shira, it has been a while, is everything okay?" He asks, I nod and turn into a small wolf and curl up into a ball on his lap and fall asleep.

The next morning I get up and head to where the meeting place and start to train, I grab my kunai and skurikan and begin with my Taijutsu and ninjutus.

After two hours I was knackered, I lay on my back and pant heavily, I gaze at the sky and fall asleep as the cool morning breeze filled the air.

'oi kid wake up your sensei is here'

'ugh five more minutes'

'NOW!'

'Okay, okay Im awake, such a nag'

'i heard that'

'you were meant to'

I crack my eyes open slightly to see Kakashi standing over me.

"Good morning Shira" He says with a closed eye smile, I sit up slowly and look at Kakashi who had four pieces of paper behind him.

"Hey Kakashi, um, what's that you got behind you back?" I ask pointing to his hands, he chuckles and gives me one, I look at it and the title says:

'Chunin Exam Application'

My eyes light up, and I stare at Kakashi who was doing a closed eye smile, I lunge at him and give him a massive hug.

"Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!" I repeat tightening my grip, I heard a slight 'your welcome' under his breathe, I realise his skin started going blue, so I quickly release and let him breathe.

"I'm sorry Kakashi, I guess I got a little too excited" I say scratching the back of my head grinning slightly.

"Its okay Shira, I was actually expecting you to do that so I braced myself as soon as I gave you that application" Kakashi says smiling, I smile back.

A few minutes later the others arrive, Kakashi then gives them their applications and explains that they don't have to do the test, and how I will be going on my own, I was completely fine with that.

A day or two later we arrived at the meeting place where we hand in our Applications, I got Gramps to sign mine, and I am guessing Naruto did as well.

We all handed in our forms, and when we handed them in we were told we had a month to train and prepare for the first exam.

I say my good lucks to Naruto and the others and go to train, I arrive at my closed off training place and begin training.

I had been training for about half a day non stop, my body finally gives up and I fall to the ground exhausted.

'Kid you need to take breaks, because if you don't you will hurt yourself'

'thank you for caring Zodiac, I really appreciate it'

'Anytime kid'

I lay there gazing at the evening sky and fall asleep.

'i wander what the exams will be like'

'I have no idea, I guess we will find out'

You're right, man I am pumped for this, I cant wait!'

'Okay kid calm down a bit'

I fall asleep and await what the future will hold.
