"He's been gone for two weeks. You should start putting some effort in to find him." Alfred said, standing in the middle of the platform where Bruce sat sulking in his chair in front of the Bat-Computer.
"He does this all the time when he goes away on missions. I won't put a leash on him. He's practically an adult, correct?" Bruce said grimly.
"This is different, you know that. He's not on any mission, or not an official one anyway. He's going to do something idiotic, even if he's smart. You know that's why he left, he feels unloved."
Bruce turned in his chair slowly, his head down. He stayed like that for a second, then took a deep breath and stood up abruptly.
"Don't you say those things to me! Don't you dare!"
Alfred didn't even blink
"I know you lost your son. I know you just ended an alien invasion. But don't you know what Dick is going through?"
Bruce made his mouth into a thin line. "He stopped that invasion, really. But at what cost? His best friend. And before that he lost his brother, his little brother. And now? Well, he just lost his father." Bruce looked down at the floor.
"All I'm saying is, maybe stop being so selfish, and maybe start realizing how much your sons, not just Dick, but Timothy too, are going through."
With that, Alfred walked up the stairs and out into the manor.

"Hey, well if it isn't the blue bird himself!" A voice shouted from the shadows. "Glad I caught ya. You look terrible." The man said smiling, stepping out from the shadows. It was true how bad Dick looked. His thigh was tightly wrapped but hardly keeping the blood in. He had hardly showered, only using a little soap and water. He hadn't slept in days, for nightmares made it so the voices of his dead loved one racked his brain. He limped and staggered everywhere he went, and hadn't yet gotten the bullet out. He was probably getting  poisoned along with the blood lose.
"Huh, Sammy right?" Dick said, trying not to show how much pain he was in. "Escaped prison I see?"
"You know, for such a thug infested city, Gotham has a terrible security force." The man came at him with a crowbar, and Dick put on his game face and tried his best to fight back.
"I don't have time for this." Dick ripped the bar out of his hands and smashed against Sammy's head. Staggering into a nearby abandoned apartment, he suddenly became very dizzy. He had just enough time to contact Tim through his phone before collapsing on the ground and blacking out.
