Chapter 18

mari kita baper-baperan, eaaah.

"Kalungnya bagus, Bel, beli dimana?"  tanya Dito.

"Dikasih sama Luke, Mas" jawab Belinda. "Bagus, ya?"

"Bagus, Bel." Dito masuk ke kamar Belinda. "Boleh masuk, kan?"

"Hmm."

Dito duduk di kursi malas Belinda, sementara Belinda berbaring di ranjangnya. Dito mengatakan sesuatu dan Belinda segera duduk, menatap kakaknya terkejut. Dito cuma bisa mengangguk pelan dan pergi dari kamar Belinda.

"Secepatnya, ya, Bel."

Di ruang keluarga, Luke tengah menonton drama sinetron di Indosiar. Ia hanya duduk, memeluk bantal, dan tatapannya kosong namun polos. Ia sama sekali tak paham dengan bahasa yang dipakai, oke sedikit. Namun sesekali berteriak 'Ah!', 'Ouch!', dan tertawa karena adegannya. Saat iklan, tatapannya kembali polos dan kosong. Tipikal Luke ketika bosan.

"Watcha doin', dude?" tanya Calum.

"Thinking" jawab Luke. "Or, got an existential crisis attack for 15 minutes."

"About?"

"Something."

"Belinda? Or Arzaylea?" tanya Calum, langsung paham kegalauan sahabatnya itu.

"Dunno" jawab Luke. "Thinking about my feels to Arza and Belinda."

"The first one is the strongest. You still love Belinda, aren't ya? Our song, like; Story of Another Us, San Francisco, Long Way Home, Beside You, and Disconnected, and more we made it based on your feeling to Belinda, remember?"

"Calum, I-"

"Don't interrupt me!" kata Calum. "I know you still love Belinda. That was your fault, leave Belinda like that! You're a jerk, well, a dork stupid jerk. You knew it, right, you still in relationship with Belinda, when Arza confess you!"

"I'm sorry, Cal, I was drunk. I-"

"Don't fucking interrupt me, you idiot!" kata Calum lagi. "You choose Arzay, a beautiful hot venomous flower, instead of Belinda, a cactus flower-"

"Why Belinda is a cactus?"

"Because she's rude, y'know, a-what the Japanese call it, a tsundere!" kata Calum. "Like cactus, looks strong, living in the desert, there's no water, although in fact it's does not. But, because it's had to adapt, it's became stronger and capable to live in the dessert. Just like Belinda. You hurt her feeling, she accepted that but in fact she doesn't. Then, after you leave her for, I don't know, a year, she finally able to accept the situation."

Calum menarik nafas panjang. "And, about Arza is a beautiful hot venomous flower-"

"Okay, okay, I got it. This is all my fault." Luke mengeratkan pelukannya pada bantal sofa. "I really want to break up with her, Cal."

"But, why you don't do that?"

"Contract."

"Jasmine!"

Jasmine berlari menuju ruang makan dan melihat Michael terkapar lemah di lantai, memegangi perutnya. Ia melihat setoples krupuk pedas yang ia beli tadi. Seketika, Jasmine tertawa keras.

"Rasain lu!"

"DON'T LAUGH AT ME! DAMN, MY STOMACH!"

"THAT'S WHY PEOPLE LIKE YOU, A FOREIGN, DON'T LIKE INDONESIAN SPICY FOODS!" kata Jasmine. "AHAHAHAHA!"

"Damn, bring me some water! I think I'm gonna die!"

"Here!" kata Jasmine sambil memberikan teh manis hangat dan Michael meminumnya. Jasmine kemudian kabur dari dapur begitu Michael meminumnya.

"FUCK, JASMINE!"

"Hehe."

Mendengar kegaduhan itu, Belinda turun dan melihat Jasmine tertawa terbahak-bahak. Kemudian, ia berjalan ke dapur dan melihat Michael membuka kulkasnya, mencari sesuatu. Usut punya usut, Mike memakan krupuk pedas kemudian ia tak tahan karena pedas. Jasmine memberikan teh hangat pada Mike dan tentu saja pemuda Aussie itu tambah kepedesan. Belinda memberikan Mike segelas es sirup cocopandan dan langsung diminum hingga habis.

"Makanya, kalo beli apa-apa, dipikir dulu" kata Belinda.

"Mean?"

"If you buy something, think about it first, idiot. Now, how it feel?"

"My stomach feel like burning."

"Well, eat more sweet foods. But done eat my food, or I'll kill you."

"Belinda, can we talk? Gazebo!"

Belinda diam ketika Luke memanggilnya, memintanya untuk berbicara. Mungkin ini waktu yang pas buat ngomongin hal ini, pikir Belinda. Ia kemudian berjalan menuju gazebo dan melihat Luke tiduran disana. Memang, disana enak untuk tiduran karena udaranya yang sejuk dan anginnya yang sepoi-sepoi. Langkah Belinda terdengar oleh Luke dan Luke segera bangun. Ia tersenyum kearah Belinda dan Belinda membalas senyuman itu.

"So, what you want to talk about, Hemmings?"

"Aw, it's been a long time you didn't call my name like that" kata Luke. "That soon to be yours."

"Shut up." Belinda duduk di pinggiran kolam, agak tersipu dengan kata-kata Luke. "What?"

"I want to talk about my feeling for you." Belinda agak kaget. Dude, jangan sekarang. "So, first, I'm sorry to leave you like that. It's my fault, all of it. Second, let me explain about my relationship with her."

"Luke, I-"

"Arza and I were a couple, and you already knew it. After that accident, you know, we broke up. But, the management call me and tell me to continue my relationship with her. I was angry with them, tell to them that they didn't care about my life. But, this is business. Because their compulsion, I have to continue my relationship with her."

"If you confess her on that day, you love her, right?"

"I, uh, little." Luke menarik nafas. "Listen, I was drunk that day. Calum said, 'the first one is the strongest one.' Means, my first love feeling is you and it's the strongest. And-"

"Indirectly, you confess me."

"Well, yeah."

"And you're hers."

"Uh, Yeah."

"Good, next."

"We're good?" tanya Luke. "Can we be friend? Can we love each other, like before, but in another way?"

"I feel like we're as close as stranger, if we do that." Belinda menarik nafas. "Well, we already do that."

"So?"

"We're good."

Luke langsung tersenyum dan memeluk Belinda. Luke terus-terusan berbisik terima kasih pada Belida. Belinda hanya bisa memeluk Luke dan mengelus punggungnya, dengan wajah astaga, wtf miliknya. Kemudian raut wajahnya menjadi sedih dan melepas pelukannya. Ia mengambil nafas dan membuangnya.

"And, there's something I need to talk about too."

Luke mendengar semua apa yang dikatakan Belinda. Saat Belinda selesai, raut wajah Luke susah ditebak. Antara sedih, marah, dan bingung. Belinda cuma bisa merunduk dan menahan tangis. Luke juga tidak tahu harus berbuat apa. Ia hanya bisa berdiri di belakang Belinda. Kemudian pergi, meninggalkan Belinda menangis di pinggir kolam renang.

"I'm so sorry, Luke."

"I'm so sorry, Belinda."

Mereka mengucapkan itu secara bersamaan.
