(I Fell Inlove with My Best Friend)

They've known each other for about three years now. They've gotten to know each other really well and obviously, they've became best friends.

"Those shoes make you look like an elf" Sehun once joked when he saw Mitzi wearing pointed tips. Mitzi just gave him a piercing look and continued off without looking back at him who was chuckling.

They connected like best friends do. In the beginning, he wasn't too attracted to her.

"Your hair looks like you just got out of the washing machine" he would always tease her about how bad her hair was.

Sehun thought Mitzi was cute but wasn't someone he would go after. Plus, he was coming off from a relationship, so rebounding wasn't really his thing.

They started talking to an aim of getting to know each other. Seeing each other in school, that was sophomore year.

"So we're schoolmates, huh?" Sehun said while walking along with her on the first day of school.

"You like stating the obvious. I'm not dumb" Mitzi jokingly answered.

They finally got to talking on the phone and their conversation lasted until 4AM.

"You better hang up now, girls first" Sehun would always say because he doesn't want to be the one to hang the call up. So Mitzi did.

That was really the mark of them becoming the best friends. Laughing, talking, being dorks; how best friends act with each other. They started talking about relationships one night.

"I liked being single. I like to flirt" Mitzi said giggling.

As friends, yeah they flirted a lot but he never thought of it. In time, she started to turn like a sister to him.

One night: "Sehun, I'm starting to have feelings for you" Mitzi said sincerely.

"I'm sorry but I don't have anything of it" Sehun answered sadly.

They were just friends. She accepted it, but he guessed he was too stubborn to see that he was growing feelings for her, too. He didn't realize it. As time went by, she would talk about other guys and he would get jealous.

"What's so good about him, he's just tall. I'm tall, too. I think I am more handsome than him" he retorted so she stopped talking about the other guy and went home.

He didn't understand why until it hit him that he had feelings for her. Junior year was the time to realize it. They talked about it.

"I don't want to risk the friendship" Sehun said when she suggested they should try to make it work. They both accepted that, understood that.

Senior year came around and his feelings for her kept growing stronger. April came by and it all broke up.

"Mitzi, I love you" Sehun said it in a loud voice making other friends gasp and stare at them wide eyed.

He spilled everything. He told her his feelings were way too strong to just keep it at bay. People already thought they were dating when they saw them together. It was like they were unofficially dating but just best friends. It was complicated.

"I am not ready for such a committed relationship" Mitzi explained.

He understood that. They're only eighteen. Their whole lives are ahead of them.

"I would wait until you are ready" Sehun said eagerly.

During that course, he did fall for her. And it really felt like he was pressuring her each time to be ready. The whole thing has gotten the way of their friendship. He knows that if anything happened he'd always want them to be best friends. That's really what's important to him but every time he sees her...it's breathtaking.

Though now, everything is very much shattered. Someone has come back in her life. Someone who she had history with.

"I've had feelings for Kris since seventh grade but we didn't do anything about it. Maybe it's the right time" she said one night when they were talking on the phone.

Sehun knew they stopped talking since sophomore year, the time when he and Mitzi met. The feelings for both returned and it hurts Sehun a lot. He feels like now they're back in talking and going out, he returned as the best friend. There's no more, when I'm ready I will tell you, it's just best friends now. He'd let himself over think everything way too much, and he's let it get in the way of their friendship. He wants her to be happy but is it selfish that he wants to be the one to make her happy?

"With Kris you seem so carefree but when it comes to Sehun you are always intense and serious" Leny once told Mitzi.

"I want to be carefree but I have strong feelings for Sehun than Kris" Mitzi answered.

"Then why don't you tell him?" Leny answered annoyed. "You let Kris kiss your hands, kiss you on the cheek but you are too naïve to see that he might have feelings for you, too. He's invited you to the beach and you have Sehun pushed aside. I bet he's not going to be the jackass who'll tell you to choose!".

"I wish I know the answer" Mitzi answered, tears rolling down her cheeks.

Mitzi's mom and Sehun are pretty close. They talked a lot and she knows right away if something is wrong with him.

"I should focus on just being friends, but it hurts a lot" Sehun complained.

"You can't bring it up with her anymore because it would always lead to arguments, crying and you already are pushing her away" Mitzi's mom said sadly.

"I still want to wait for her. I love her. I just don't know if she wants me too, if she even thinks of me in that way anymore" Sehun said crying.

"I still, do. I still do love you" Mitzi answered from their house's doorstep.

Sehun jumped from the seat and came to hug the girl he loves the most. Mitzi's mom just watched them smiling.

It was confusing. But it ended well.
