Leni x Lay

So you can keep me~~~~
Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans~~

Strum of a guitar invaded my hearing as I heard it on the radio.

That song. No. Not this one.

I changed the radio station as I drove to the familiar road once again. It was dawn, the fresh breeze of the trees and the crisp scent of the spring mornings welcomed me again.

I happened to came across a very familiar spot. On all those trees on the foresty road, this one tree struck my attention. I slowed down as I pass that by, a tree with letters carved on its bark, and on the ground near the roots was a stack of rocks, almost hidden through the vines and wild grass on the ground.

"I really like this place, Lay. It's so serene. A place where you can really find peace and just be yourself."

I heard her sweet laugh like it was just yesterday, her crisp scent of apples and freesias. All those blissful memories was all worthwhile.

"Here, in this place, we will build a house. Then on that big tree, we can build a tree house also. Where we can look at the night sky."

"House? I don't get it."

"This property is now ours. We will build our future home here."

"L--lay, this is t--"

"I love you so much, this is my gift for our upcoming wedding."

"I love you too. Thank you, I love you so much, Lay."

I parked my car in front of the house. I stepped out of the car together with my duffle bag and fiddled with the keys on my other hand. I opened the door, got inside and once again, every corner of it strolls me down to memory lane.

"I want the colors of the house to be on a kind of vintage and rustic style. We will put our pictures on frames, then we can decorate the house. I want all our memories to fill the whole household."

Those old pictures as kids, as elementary classmates, pictures we took on our high school years, when we started to really become 'friends'. When we started to become really close, pictures together with our close friends.

Pictures when we started dating. High school graduation pictures, anniversaries, dates, bonding times on our college days as a long distance couple, then our graduation pictures in college. One from mine, when I was wearing our toga, she is beside me, wearing the lilac dress that I gave for her birthday. The other picture, it was now her wearing her toga, my arms wrapped around her waist, her hands resting above mine. A sparkling gem shone on her ring finger.

"I know this is too early, you just graduated, I just started to work. I know that we are both young, but I am sure, I want to spend life growing old with you,

Leni, will you marry me?"

"Oh my god! Y-yes! I will. I will marry you."

I heard footsteps from upstairs, I was back to reality when I heard a sweet voice called me.

"Papa!" The little girl exclaimed as she ran to me and gave me a tight hug. I welcomed her in my arms and carried her as I hug ger back.

"How are you doing, darling? How was school? Papa missed you a lot" I asked her. She's my daughter. Elle. 4 years old, very bubbly and full of personality. Ofcourse, courtesy of her mom that I love dearly.

"School was fun! I made a lot of friends. I missed you too, papa!" Elle said in a cheerful tone.

I walked to the living room as I carried her, we sat on the couch and talked for a little bit. I was gone for a few days, I need to catch up with her even I was updated with her all the time.
