Chapter 14

"No.." I whisper. "Kill him." Cato firmly says.

"No, Cato. He can lead us to the other allowances he has. Keep him." Glimmer says.

"Just kill me. I don't have an alliance. Besides Lillian." He tells them.

"Ok than....." Cato says and gets out his sword. "Well, I'm tired, and would like to end this now." He says.

He is not ending anything or anyone on my watch. "I don't think so." I shout, and throw a knife at Clove again. I can see her stumble to the ground. The canon goes off. Cato is beside her, telling her to stay wht him but she is already gone and he knows it. Glimmer just keeps shooting arrows at me while marvel tries getting a spear at my throat to. "Finish Stanley! Well chase after Lillian!" Glimmer says and takes off with Marvel and Cato, which they had to take him off of Clove. "Trescott! You listen to me, and you listen good! I am not leaving this arena without you're name and picture up in the sky! Understand, Trescott?!" Cato screams out to me. I throw a knife at him, but this time it hits his arm, but he still is managing to run towards me. My right arm is now covered in blood. I jump off the cornucopia and run in the woods, making a turn around so the careers think I'm still running straight. But I run back to the cornucopia and see Stanley try to resist getting killed by Finnick.

"No! Finnick, stop! Leave him alone! He's with me! Stop please!" I yell.

He instantly stops, and Stanley stands up. "Stanley!" I run towards him and give him a hug making sure he's ok, besides the cut on his thigh. At least he can limp.

"Finnick....what are you doing?" I ask him. "I was trying not to get killed thats what!" He shots back at me. "Don't worry, I wasn't going to kill him.." Finnick turns around and walks back.

"Where are you going? Odair, you know they will be looking for you, too.." I say.

"I'm going back to help you. Get back up the tree, and shut up." Finnick practicay orders. What's wrong with him.... I've never realy seen Finnick this stern before. I just don't say anything the rest of the way to the tree. When we reach our destination, Finnick helps Stanley get up the tree and I say hi to the girl I saved and Sakhaia.

"This is Finnick guys... He's from my district....." I say.

"Were so glad you're alive! Thank you so much, Lillian. You saved my life...." The girl tells me.

"No problem...you are..?" I ask her.

"I'm Lavender, from district 12. I'm 15." She says.

"Hello, Lavender." I say. That's when we all hear another canon, and see Marvel's face in the sky. I wonder what happened with the careers...looks like they got upset with eachother....

"What's that..?" Lavender asks and we hear a ringing noise.

"A sponsor!" I say and grab the bag with the parachute. "Medicine. For Stanley." I say and hand it to Stanley, who puts it on his thigh. Good, he's going to be healed soon. "I should be going... This never happened.." Is all Finnick says and walks away. "And...you should clean that wound up.." He says and walks away. I can for some crazy reason feel tears streaming down my face. I'm watching the love of my life walk away, and I could never see him again from then.... Why is he like this? Why didn't he stay with us? Doesn't he know how much I care about him........ Maybe he doesn't truly love me....

That day we walked. Stanley kept up, which is the good thing. When we finally hit water I got to scrub off all the blood, and I got to refill my water tin. It turned to nightfall pretty quick, and I decided to hunt with Stanley. I then found a beautiful bird siting on a tree. I started to then hear furious footsteps behind me.

"Kill her!" I hear. How the f*#£ did they get so close?!

"Stanley!" I scream, as he throws a spear at Glimmer. She falls to the ground and I grab her now and arrow fast. I start to shoot at them. But I missed. I got away, but missed. "Go!" I hear Stanley behind me say. I keep running, but I than ran into a crying Sakhaia next to Lavender. "What happened?!" I ask. "Lavender ate these berries and I don't know what to do!" Sakhaia weeps with all her will. I look down and se Lavender. Dead. I cry a little with Sakhaia, but I then pick her up, and run. With tears streaming down my eyes. "Stanley!" I shout. I then see him come towards the bushes and we run towards a lake. "Thank The Lord were here..." Stanley says. I comfort Sakhaia though and give Stanley a look. "Lavender....." Stanley says. After a while, Sakhaia finally quiets down. "It's ok..." I say.

"Yea....at least I didn't know her as well as I know you.." She says. I smile at her and we move out of the water. "Look, Sakhaia. I got you you're bow and arrow. Which more night fully belongs to you." I tell her. She takes the bow and arrow from me and smiles. I go over and sit down with Stanley to see what our plan is. "Look, Lillian, we can keep going that way until-" we then start to hear a sound in the bushes. Shit, not again.

"Allies! Please! I don't want to kill!" The man exclaims. "District 9, Aidan. I really don't mean to kill, please. I'm only 16. Allies." Aidan holds out is hand and Stanley shakes it. "Ok...and if you plan on hurting one of us..chose me. Leave her alone." He says. I hug Stanley in thanks. "Welcome to our group, Aidan." I say. "I pick up Sakhaia, and we walk towards more firm land.

"We should stop here. It's getting late." Aidan announces. We all sit down, and get ready to rest. "I'll go set some snares and see if I get us a bird or two." Stanley says and walks out. "Don't worry, I'll protect Sakhaia." Stanley says as Sakhaia walks up with her bow. "Be safe you two ok? Anything happens, anyone you see, or den if you think you see or hear a sound of a person, run straight back here, ok?" I say. They both nod and i give them both hugs and watch their silhouette get smaller and smaller as they leave. Now it's completely dark, and I can barely see anything. All I can really still think about is my Finnick. My beloved Finnick.... I wish I was with him now, protecting me like he said he would... Well..things change... "Aidan, what's your skill?" I try to start a convo with him. Maybe that can get my mind of Finnick.

Silence.

"Umm....Aidan..."

I suddenly hear someone running up to me from behind and jump on me. I scream. "Aidan! Aidan!" I yell. "Hello there, Mrs. Trescott." He says.

It's him.

"No...I...trusted you!!" I yell at him.

"Big. Mistake." Between those words he took a mini knife out and slashed my right arm where I got cut by clove already. Then he starts for my throat. "No! Stop! Please!" I beg.

"Don't you know begging makes me want to kill you more?! Any last words, Lillian?" He asks.

I know this is the end of it. And the last word I ever want to yelp out is,

"Finnick!" I scream. I can hear Aidan laughing and starts to cut my throat. With blood coming down from it, I instantly get dizzy and see Aidan fall over to the side, with a canon. I then see someone hover over me saying,

"Lily! Lillian! Please! Please! Say something! Speak to me, Lily!"

"Finnick.." Is the last thing I say before I black out.
