Jayden walked into the classroom, the white jacket of his uniform thrown over his shoulder. He was quickly stopped by a gaggle of girls surrounding him, several grabbing onto him and a few even presenting their collared necks as the gave their unoriginal flirts.
"Hey there handsome~"
"Wanna skip class and have a roll in the janitor's closet?"
"I got a new shirt, you like?"
Jayden sighed internally at the breasts and necks trying to be shoved into his face. He gave a big smile though, keeping his fangs put away as to not cause further excitement from the girls around me.
"Sorry ladies, I don't drink from humans. Only blood capsules." He explained, putting his hands up just a bit. The girls took the hint and dispersed but not without some unhappy mumblings. They actually thought I was going to bite them and then fight their alphas. Yeah, right. He thought as he plopped down in his regular seat. Caden, Jayden's best friend, typed quickly at his keyboard, not looking up when Jayden sat down.
"Hey, what's up?" Jayden asked, smiling normally with his fangs poking out past his his other teeth and resting on his bottom lip.
"The ceiling, a Disney-Pixar movie production, and a word." Caden answered with all seriousness, then gave a half smile, meaning he thought he had won this round.
"True but it's also a verb." Jayden said, his smile widening. Caden's eyes narrowed slightly, a low growl coming form his throat. Jayden widened his eyes a bit in mock- innocence, placing a hand over his heart.
"Well I'd never... growling at me.. tsk tsk." He said, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Caden rolled his eyes before turning back to his computer with a small huff, hitting the keys just a bit harder. Jayden laughed, leaning back in his chair, putting his hands behind his head, and closing his eyes.
"... and here's your first class! Do you think you can get around now?" Jayden heard Daniel say.
"Yeah, I have a photographic memory." An unknown voice drifted over to Jayden, obviously male and for some reason grabbing the blonde's attention. His head tilted just a bit so he could hear them better.
"Okay, I'll meet up with you later." Daniel said
"Yeah, thank you Daniel." Was the reply that quickly followed. Then footsteps into the classroom, causing Jayden to allow one eye to open. The smell of an unclaimed omega wafted towards him, a smell that was unique to each unclaimed. This one smelled like vanilla, old books, and snow covered pine needles, the combination causing Jayden to drool just a bit. Caden looked at the new male student with mild interest.
"How long do you'll think he'll survive?"
Jayden took the question as permission to scan the new student. He couldn't tell much about him from his waist up because of a leather jacket that covered his body and hid any curves the male might have. Though, the blue skirt framed his butt nicely and the way those black tights hugged his legs made them almost drool-worthy. His back was to Jayden so he couldn't see anything other than bright red hair.
"Three Weeks." Jayden said without a second thought.
"Are you sure?" Caden asked, though he knew his friend rarely changed his mind.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Jayden said, letting his eyes slide close and revel in the scent of the new student.
"You just seemed interested in his conversation with Daniel." Caden smirked as Jayden's eyes popped back open again. He held up a finger, his mouth open in protest.
"Students! To your seats!" The teacher said, effectively cutting Jayden off. He huffed unhappily and practically ignored the teacher as she took role. Shiro, Jayden's other best friend, walked in right in the middle but was effectively ignored. A single name caught Jayden's attention.
"Rei Channing? Is that our new student?" The teacher asked, looking around for him. The head of red hair popped up suddenly, raising his hand just a bit as well.
"Um, yes, that's me." He answered quickly. Her eyes dragged over to him before darting away quickly. Jayden's eyebrow rose at the suspicious behavior.
"Anyway, this is homeroom so work on anything that needs to be done and keep the noise level down." Several students nodded, including the new red head. Rei's head dipped down, obviously working on something but what it could be escaped Jayden. The kid just got here. He gave a small growl of irritation at himself for wanting to know. Shiro's eyes caught with Jayden's before grinning brightly and going to sit in the seat in front of Rei, turning around so they were facing each other.
Shiro looked down at whatever Rei was doing before smiling brightly again. Jayden expected the small red head to tell Shiro to get lost but was surprised when neither of them said a word to each other. Rei just continued working and Shiro would occasionally make a face at him. Red head must be a quiet laugher Jayden decided as he watched his shoulders shake just a bit. Glancing down at the paper, Shiro grinned brightly before tapping the paper and then pointing at Jayden. Rei turned to glance at Jayden, before biting his lip and turning back to Shiro with a nod.
"Um, Sure, as long as you bring it back okay?" Rei said, his voice soft as to not disturb the noise level of the room. Shiro beamed at him before picking up the notebook and heading back to me.
"Well if you're not going to talk to the omega, you can at least look at his drawings." He dropped the notebook onto the table and Jayden leaned forward quickly. The page simply had a crescent moon with a girl standing in it, one hand pressed against the moon, the other on her hip;  there were several small stars, decorating the rest of the page. Jayden looked a bit closer and could see the fangs resting on her smirking lips.
"A vampire huh?" Was the only thing Jayden said before leaning away from the notebook. Shiro rolled his eyes before taking the notebook back to Rei.
"Oh thank you!" Jayden could see only the edges of Rei's smile but felt instantly annoyed by the way Shiro looked just a tiny bit dazed from it. He made his way back over, sliding into his usual seat with a dreamy look on his face.
"Very pretty face, strange eyes though." Jayden rolled his eyes at the words, leaning back in his chair and turning slightly to Caden, getting the brunette's attention before speaking.
"Like I said, three weeks at most"
