The Beginning of it All

Chapter one The beginning

The beginning was a blank slate it was bland. The god and aspects created life and gave it a home called Avolore. In that place lived eight kingdoms, The Dragon kingdom, The Serpent Kingdom, The Werewolf kingdom, The kingdom of Time, Space, and Reality, The kingdom of the gods, and The forbidden kingdom only accessible by few. The kingdoms were ruled by kings and queens. The dragon kingdom had enlisted knights to protect themselves from the Lord of Darkness. The golden knight was named Dracin and was very intelligent for his age and he contained a special gift from birth, the control over elements. All dragons can do that but he can control all of the elements. He has also has a condition that his scales change color with his mood. The Steel knight his name was Xiuhcoatl he was a red dragon with yellow markings, but they call him Xiu for short. Xiu was stronger than the rest and a master at explosions and pyromancy, better than anyone else in fact. The Titanium knight name Ehecatl was extremely fast and quick thinking, but he was not the brightest bulb in the pack. The Quicksilver knight, her name was Hydra, she was kind and had a very sweet voice. Her scales were a light blue and had purple markings. She able to use magic better than the other four. Then there was Cobalt knight his name was Roluth he had black scales with blue markings, he never played by any rules and always dangered others. The gold knight was the leader of their operations. But Roluth was jealous of Dracin because of him being the leader, and not him. Roluth had anger boil in him. He soon grew jealous and acted out in evil ways.

The other knights soon heard of what he was doing and tried to punish him for his crimes. Dracin soon figured out that he was siding with the Lord of Darkness. So Dracin decided to kick Roluth from the group, and Roluth sweared.

"I will come back. Not as a protector, but as a villain," Roluth said before leaving for the Lord of Darkness.

Some time passed after that incident, the knights were still together. They were having a drink down at the pub after a victorious battle.

"Let us drink to our victory!" Xiu shouted chugging down a fresh ale.

"Be careful Xiu, remember last time you got drunk?" Hydra asked "well I can't blame you it was a good battle"

"Indeed, but we have more pressing matters at hand. Roluth is back, but he isn't the same as before."- Dracin said looking down - "He has gained control over dark magic, and other things that are forbidden. I fear the worse for this world."

"Whoa now." Hydra said, "we need to keep hope within us. The people of the kingdoms are counting on us to protect them."

At that moment a messenger ran into the pub. He looked like he had something urgent to say.

"Thank the aspects you are here. I have news from the king, He needs all of you right away." He said in a panic.

"Okay, tell the king we will be right there." Dracin said with a slight worry.

"Of course, sir." the messenger said as he ran back to the castle.

They paid their drinks and ran off to the castle to see the king. The castle was large and had four spires like mountains piercing the sky above. The stone on the castle had a warm feeling to it, it seemed inviting. Of course the king is extremely fair amongst his citizens. They walked through the gates and meet a young dragon child.

"Hi, who are you guys? You look really cool!" The young dragon said while running around us.

"Well young one, we are the knights who protect the kingdom's," Ehecatl said with a smile

"Cool! I want to be like you guys when I grow up!" the young child said with excitement.

"Well, you need to start training then. It takes a lot of work being us." Hydra said to the young one "What's your name?"

"Eric," said the young child.

"Well Eric, we have to go now we have important business to take care of," Dracin said with a slight smile.

Eric ran off into town with the excitement of a young boy. They walked into the royal hall, where you will eat a grand feast, and went to the king. The king was old, his scales are made of near iron and and flesh of stone. The king was great, for a man at his age that is.

"Ah there you are," the king said in an old, creaky voice. "The Lord of Darkness is coming, along with his Dark knight Roluth."

"Yes, my lord we will take care of them" Xiu said with elegance, something you don't see every day with him.

"Good, but I also have two others coming with you along with their child." the king told us "They are well fitted for combat, so don't worry they will help you through the forbidden land."

"My lord, you can't put innocent people at risk." said Dracin at a near yell.

"Don't worry they will be fine, now go on your quest." The king ordered us to leave the castle, and so we did.

We left the castle and were heading towards the front gates of the kingdom a guard was near by. The kingdom looked lively on this day like nothing bad was going to happen, nothing did happen to the city, which was good. The four knights were in their armor, their weapons placed at their sides. They had enough food to last them for weeks. Everybody was cheering for them to come back safe. Then out the corner of Dracins eye he spots a couple. A lady clad in all white, a man clad in all black, and a child clad in grey. They disappeared into the shadows with ease. Dracin looked slightly worried that they were minions for the Lord of Darkness. The knights approached the gate.

"Lower the bridge!" Said the captain on top of the wall.

All of the other soldiers put down the bridge as they said farewell to their fair kingdom. As soon as they stepped off the bridge the captain ordered

"Draw the bridge men!" the other soldiers listen to him as they draw the bridge back up.

We walked out a bit and three figures appeared from the right of us. It was the lady clad in white, the man clad in black, and their child clad in grey. They slowly approached us.

"Hello, we are not here to harm you." said the woman in white in a sweet, feminine voice, "Your king asked us to guide you guys through the forbidden kingdom."

"Who are you?"- Hydra asked as she was bedazzled by the sight of the woman - "You look amazing by the way."

"My name is Remedy," The woman said while taking down her hood. She had beautiful light blue hair. "And this is my, umm, boyfriend Ashion, and our son Ragneer."

Ashion had pitch black hair with pure white eyes, he looks like someone who has been possessed. Ragneer, he looked like he has been through hell and back twice. His hair has red streaks and is pitch black like his Father, his eyes are slightly grey with a hint of red in them.

"Well nice to meet you guys, I'm Dracin" Dracin said with a smile.

"I'm Xiuhcoatl, but you guys can call me Xiu for short," Xiu said with his arms crossed

"I'm Hydra, I am very glad I meet you guys." Hydra said.

"Hi Ehecatl here, I am the best knight out of all of us," Ehecatl said being cocky, pointing to himself.

Ashion stayed silent only talking with sign language. Ragneer didn't talk or try to communicate with us. They started walking towards the forbidden kingdom, the feeling of dread hanging over them. This is not going to be an easy journey was what everybody was thinking at the same time.
