The entire group warmed up to Death in a matter of no time. They seemed to be okay with him on board with everything. Ragneer seemed to be excited about the fact Death had joined. No one knew what went on inside of his mind. The path ahead of them seemed to be brighter and shorter. Dracin was talking to Xiu about how long until they had to replace their weapons. Hydra and Lily were talking about flowers that grew in their home towns. Ehecatl and Ragneer were talking about. Death was marching ahead of the group head strong and loving the sights of the desolate village. Finally they reached a large house with webs covering it. Dracin feeling a bit nervous and nauseous. Ragneer looked around the outside to see that they weren't alone. Death soon had a look on his face that showed he was more terrified of what was coming than the home. This set the tone of the group to a very tense tone as hardly anything could scare Death himself. The webs started to move when a very cold and distant voice is heard.
"Well, well, well look what we have here. We have new food~" the voice came from an arachne, a spider and human mix, She had long and blood red hair. It went to her mid-back. Her face was soft and delicate but her eyes were like stone daggers going through them with such accuracy to keep them frozen in place. Her human half was slim and fit, While her spider half was more bulky and a navy blue with blood red markings in a lot of the places on it. Usually on her knees and on the back of the spider half.
Ragneer leaned into Dracin and whispered. "We might have to kill her, I have no idea what she wants from us. Maybe Death knows?" Ragneers voice lingered on the fact he didn't want to cause to much distress
Death spoke out "Life, I don't want to put these people in any more danger that they are already in" He stood tall to her. He made sure to make himself look larger than everyone else in the group. She had just laughed at him and pushed him aside like some side dish no one wants to eat.
"Well you have my dear Death." Her voice having a melodic tone to it "Who shall i dig into first?" She had many spiders run down the wall and surrounded the group. Each spider has venom dripping from its fangs. Ehecatl had an excellent idea, He drew his daggers from their sheathes. The blades were surrounded with a gust of wind, He took a step forward and then in a flash all of the spiders were sliced into slices as Ehecatl stood in the center of it all covering in green blood and guts. His daggers were covered in a thick layer of the stuff. He was breathing heavy as Life stood there in a silent rage. Her eyes blazed a fire yellow as she walked forward, her hands wound around a pure white pole before seeing the scythe head shine in the sun light. Dracin only stepped back. His left arm was getting burned, He didn't notice until his arm was dripping blood. It hit the cold and hard ground. Dracin looked down at it to see white markings like tendrils up and down his arm. Hydra just knocked an arrow into her bow taking a few shots at Life's legs.
"You better just stop." Dracin spoke up. "I am guessing we could have her in the group as well. You know? Have both unstoppable forces in our group at once will be really powerful. So why don't we all just calm down and listen to each other?" Dracin said loud enough for everyone to hear.
"I agree Dracin." Death had said stepping forward. "He really wants to bring peace back to the land. He has been cursed enough. The knowledge he holds is key to restoring that once sacred peace. So please Life, Join us in our cause and bring this world to how it once was." Death had the begging in his voice down to a very convincing point. His eyes conveyed Life just chuckled and ran her hand across his shoulder as she walked behind him. "What will i get personally out of this?" She asked with a more devilish smirk this time. Showing dangerously sharp fangs.
She then moved away looking at them. "But first a test to see if you can even deserve me on the "team" you have." She walked around them in a circle. She was thinking and wondering what would be a worthy and hard challenge for the people to have been blessed by the primals. She would then stop in her tracks and look at the group with a wicked smile. "Well maybe You should fight the leviathan in the lake. It is said his slayers will be blessed with a sign of his marking. So Go forth champions. Kill the leviathan, bring me its head." Life had made a motion towards the lake. Her fingers dangled as she pointed, Like she was holding onto doll strings. She was smirking as the group left towards the lake.
"Well it looks like we will be fighting one of those beasts of great potential. So we might have a tough time to fight him." Ragneer said hanging his head low. He let out a long and frustrated sigh. He searched his bag for useful items to no avail. He started to mumble as the group made their way to the lake. They had no idea what was in store for them when they did get there.
