The Beginning of it All

Chapter two The Journey and the Key

 The night began to fall upon the heroes on their quest. They heard the Darkness laughing at them. Dracin decided to set up camp there in the woods.

"Guys I found the perfect spot to set up camp," Dracin said while clearing out brush.

They set up camp in a few hours time. Dracin called first watch while everyone else slept. He brought a few items for his amusement, which included a small ocarina. He began to play a soothing melody. As he played the wind started to howl and he soon stopped. His childhood revolved around that melody. Dracin remembers when he played the melody his younger brother would get excited to watch what happens when he played it. That stopped happening when Dracins brother died of a mysterious disease. There was nothing that made Dracin more happy to see his younger brother smile as he played his melody, but since he died Dracin no longer smiles. Dracin looked to the sky holding his face trying to not cry out in pain. His arm is covered in strange ruins and scars. He never knew how precious life was until that day. Dracin was constantly worried that one day his friends will meet the same fate.

Then out of nowhere a deep dark voice came forth in his mind.

"Hello." It said "I'm what was locked way in you to be forgotten."

"What are you? To be exact." Dracin asked

"I am something that time forgot and will keep forgetting. There is a time and place for things like me. That time will come upon us soon." The voice said, and after that the voice became calmer. "My name is Ragnarock."

"Well Ragnarock this has been a really interesting talk. Goodbye." Dracin said within his own mind.

"Wait I am not just any ordinary thing. I can control the forbidden element. You see when the aspects called forth the whole universe there were seven elements created. These elements were Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Thunder, Gel, and the Forbidden element. These were to keep everything in check. Until the people of the universe decided to attack each other with the elements. So the aspects created beasts to hold the elements most dangerous aspects. The Beast of fire was thrown into the center of a distant planet, The Water Beast was thrown into the deepest lake that that same world had, The Earth beast and the beast of Slime were put into one and cast away to one of our moons. The beast of Thundering winds was also cast to the same planet as the Fire and Water beast. Then there is me the beast of the Forbidden element." Ragnarock said almost like he was smiling inside Dracins mind.

"Thank you. You told me what I needed to know." Dracin said smiling as the sun came over the horizon.

Everyone was waking up from their deep slumber. Dracin was dazed by what he just heard and saw. The wind was bitterly cold, everyone put on their jackets to warm up, except for Hydra, she was okay with the cold. Everybody helped put down the tents and put them in the bags. Xiu went down to the river to grab some fish to eat for breakfast, while Remedy went to go grab some herbs to cook.

Xiu came back with some rather large fish in his small bag that he brought, Remedy was right behind him. Dracin helped them put up the bonfire, and helped cook. The smell of cooked fish filled the air. Once they were done everybody ate, but Dracin didn't eat a single bite. He was worried about what Ragnarock had said.

"The time you will need me is soon." This thought raced through his mind, over and over again. He wondered what his true goal is. World domination? Or world peace? My mind was racing with questions the most important was, when? When will he strike? There was a loud roar in the distance, everyone in the camp immediately stood up. The roar happened again but this time it was closer.

"Is this the time he was saying? This early?" Dracin mumbled under his breath.

"What do you mean?" Said a voice from behind Dracin, He immediately turned around and there was Ragneer.

"Oh, you're there. I was startled." Dracin said trying to change the subject.

"What did you mean by this early? Are you holding a cursed beast within you?" Ragneer said, he seemed worried and curious at the same time.

"I have no idea what that actually is" Dracin said with full honesty

"Cursed beasts are a part of the element world. If you have one they could give you an advantage while in combat. So they are sort of like a big thing, they can control everything from Fire to the Forbidden element" Ragneer said in response "hold out your hand palm up."

Dracin did what he said. Ragneer took his hand and started to draw a weird symbol on the palm of my hand. The skin around it started to glow in a weird purple haze.

"You have the cursed beast of the Forbidden element." Ragneer said with a small smile he was a bit hesitant to look me in the eye "well this can spell trouble or fortune for us" He said. He didn't look pleased.

"What does it mean? Is there something wrong with it?" Dracin said even more worried than before.

There was a long silence between the two. Ragneer spoke to break the silence

"There is a reason we locked away certain beasts. Because they proved to be too strong for the rest of the world. There is a limit on how much energy can be stored within one being. The many different beasts are living proof that you can't have too much power" Ragneer said with the softest voice Dracin had ever heard.

After that Ragneer left and made his way to Remedy and Ashion. There seemed to be something on his mind but Dracin ignored that feeling. But instead he wondered why they were so scared all of the sudden then he realized the thumping sound of the earth. It got closer and louder with each breath that Dracin took. At that point Dracin knew that he didn't know what they were up against. They have fought every form of rouge dragon but not one large enough to shake the very ground they stand upon. Hydra's face was full of fear and every one looked uneasy there seemed to be something wrong with everyone. Then finally the beast showed itself through the trees it was a giant red, orange, blue, black and white dragon with talons and teeth as big as Xiu. The air filled with the stench of blood and raw meat. Its wings were big enough to black out the entire sky. Dracin went over to his bag quickly to grab his sword. The beast noticed him its eyes locked onto him. Dracin quickly turned into a fight stance but he was nervous. He didn't know if the beast would take over and kill everything in a mile vicinity. Dracin slowly made his way to the feet of the beast cautious with every step. The beast quickly swiped at Dracin but he blocked just before it hit him. Xiu picked up his axe and started to attack the beast with all of his might. Hydra started to fire her arrows at the beast's face and wings. The arrows flew through the wings like they were merely paper or cloth. The beast roared and Dracin fell to his knees and started to cough up a strange black liquid. Through his mind rang knock knock time to come out Dracin was worried that it was time to let him do what he needs to do. All of the sudden Hydra and Xiu were knocked back into trees and the beast spat out molten white lava. Dracin tilted his head back and froze. Ragneer knew what was going to happen and made everybody gather up inside of a small force field. Dracins body glowed in a purple haze as his body tore apart to reveal the beast of the forbidden element. Dracin screamed in pain as his body was changing. The screaming stopped and the purple haze fell and there he stood. Dracin had wings and scales as black as night his wings had two more claws on them and they hooked on his shoulders like a cape. His eyes were menacingly red and black. His roar shook the force field that Ragneer put up. Dracin looked at the beast then smiled and said something in a different language. His blade was also different it had razor sharp teeth. Dracin looked like he meant business. He was there for blood.
