Chapter 3

                         Johnny walks back to the car and see's the startled expression on Ayana's face.

"What's wrong with you? He asks.

"You Do THAT for a living?!" She says in a screech.

"Yeah I make a decent living doing it too, this picture will get me about 2 grand."

"I am not down with that at all, I have to go!" Ayana says quickly.

"WHAT!!? Are you serious?!" Johnny yells at her. "What about the museum?"

"I said I do not respect what you do!!" Ayana yells back at Johnny. She starts to walk off. As she is walking away she can hear Johnny yelling.

"You'll be back!" He laughs at her.

"Don't count on it Vargas!" Ayana says without looking back.

                               She finds her way back home on the subway. She stops at the store and gets snacks for her movie night with Riley. As she gets to her block she gets a text from Jack.

Jack----Riley lives 2 houses away from us.

                        Really two houses down she thinks and laughs. She gets to her house and goes in and sees Jack on the couch reading the newspaper he looks up and says.

" I knew you would be back early." Jack smiles at her.

"I cannot believe him! He thought I was going to be cool with that!!" Ayana says as Jack just sits back and lets her vent.

"Riley says we can go over early if we want." Jack says.

"How early? Ayana asks.

"Like now." Jack laughs.

"Ok, did you give him the pictures?" She asks.

"Yes, he really liked them."

"Oh good!" Ayana smiles.

"The one of the two of you is smokin' hot!" Jack laughs.

"SHUT UP!" She yell and laughs.

As they walk down the street Ayana begins to feel nervous she looks at Kaylee.

"Come on it's just movies, you'll be fine." Kaylee says.

"Ok" She says.

"Here we are." Jack says as he knocks on the door. Riley opens the door with a huge smile.

"Who's ready for Freddy?" He laughs.

                               They all join in with his laughter and go into the house. They eat snacks, talk and watch the movies. Riley and Ayana are sitting next to each other while Kaylee and Jack are lying on the floor cuddling.

"You cold? Do you want a blanket?" Riley asks Ayana.

"Yes, please." she says. She looks over to Kaylee and Jack and they are passed out.

"Wimps!" Riley laughs.

"Thanks for inviting me." Ayana tells him.

" Oh of course."

"Why Freddy though?" Ayana asks as she puts a handful of popcorn in her mouth.

"It's something that we did with our dad." Riley says " He passed away when I was 10 years old from cancer, it reminds me of him."

"Oh I am sorry!" Ayana says thinking back to what Jack had told her earlier about Freddy being personal.

"Don't be!" Riley says touching her shoulder. They both get an electric charge between the two of them and they both look away with their faces burning red. "How about your family?"

"My Mom is a theater teacher in San Francisco and my dad left us when I was a year old."

"Oh sorry"

"No it's cool, I have an amazing dad that raised me and I have two brothers and a sister. We each work in the art field in one way or another."

"Cool, it's always been my Mom, Jack and now crazy Kaylee and I am good with that for now anyways. You are very easy to talk to Ayana"

"So are you Riley." Ayana says "So do you have a girlfriend?"

"Nope."

"Boyfriend?"

"NOOOOOO, I like the ladies!" he laughs "How about you?"

"No and No." Ayana laughs.

"I guess Johnny went too far today huh?" Riley asks.

"You guessed right!" Ayana answers.

"I guess Sixteen Candles wasn't that bad!" Riley teases.

"Oh thanks!" Ayana laughs.

                                      Riley puts in the next Freddy movie and before the opening credits are over they both doze off. When they wake up Jack is making breakfast in the kitchen, Ayana notices that Riley's head is on her leg. He wakes up startled and jumps up quickly.

"Sorry" they both bump into each other and laugh; Ayana goes off to the bathroom waving at Jack and Kaylee.

                           When Riley enters the kitchen all eyes are on him. "YOU LIKE HER, YOU LIKE HER, YOU REALLY REALLY LIKE HER!!" Jack sings songs.

"SHHHH, is it that obvious?" Riley asks.

"To us it is!" Jack says. "Dude go for it!"

"I don't know, what if she does not like me?"

"I think she does!" Kaylee says excited.

Ayana walks back into the kitchen and now all eyes are on Ayana.

"WHAT!" she says.

"Oh nothing" they all say in unison.
