Chapter 9

                              The cab ride seemed like it lasted an eternity and Riley was relieved when the cab stopped and he was home. He paid the fare and opened the door and he runs quickly to the front door and fumbled for his house keys and felt and heard the flashes of cameras. Once he got into the house he collapsed on the couch and said to himself just a few minutes and I will go back to the hospital but he dozed off.

                              He was awaken by a banging at the front door and jumped up and looked out the peep hole in the door and saw that it was Johnny and Jack. He began to open the and it was pushed open with such force that it jammed his hand back by Johnny.

"What the hell Johnny!" Riley says.

                          Without a word Johnny lunges forward and punches riley in the face. Riley's nose starts to bleed instantly and says nothing but strikes Johnny back with full force Johnny is knocked to ground by the sheer force behind the hit. Riley grabs him up by the shirt.

"Are you done?!!! Riley yells in his face.

"Yes!" Johnny says as he huffs and puffs. Jack hands Riley a towel for his still bleeding nose.

"That was not cool Johnny, not cool at all!" Jacks says glaring at Johnny.

"You knew I liked her and you go after her that is not cool!" Johnny says back.

"Look Johnny that was never my intention at all." Riley says.

"There is a code man!! Johnny yells back.

"I'm happy why are you trying to ruin it for me?"

"I want to be with her Riley!" Johnny says.

"Johnny dude, I am falling in love with her!" Riley says. This stops Johnny and Jack in their tracks instantly.

"Riley does she know that are a nut case, that you tried to kill yourself last year, did you tell her that BRO!" Johnny screams.

"Get out of my house now!!" Riley screams back.

"She is gonna find out!" Johnny says.

"Leave now Johnny!" Jack yells trying to hold back his own rage.

"What's wrong BRO you scared she gonna find out you are a loon!!!"

"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE NOW OR I WILL MAKE SURE YOU WISHED YOU'D NEVER BEEN BORN!!! Riley screams in his face.

"Ha OK later BRO." Johnny says laughing.

"NEVER AGAIN YOU ARE DEAD TO US!" Jack says as Johnny walks out.

Riley falls to the ground and sobs "What if he is right!" Riley cries.

"He is the crazy one you had tough time since daddy died and last year was really horrible for you it was as if he died all over again for you. This is the first time I've seen you so alive."

"I love her man, is that stupid? Is it too soon?"

"The heart wants it wants, just be honest with her."

"Thanks Bro I love you."

"Ah stop getting mushy" Jack smiles at him " You wanna go with us to pick up Mrs. Vasquez?"

"Sure I want to pick up some flowers. Hey do you thinks Jesse is available, I need a lawyer to bring to the hospital this afternoon?"

"Let me call him and find out" Hey clean your face off, you have a lot of blood on it still. Meet me at the house when you are done."
