LOVE IS..

Chapter 11

                 Jesse and Jack rush to the door as Ayana scrambles out of bed and tries to hurry to the door trying to maneuver her IV pool. She makes it out of the door to see Riley walking toward the elevators with his hands balled into fists.

"Riley please stop, talk to me!" Ayana tries to plead with him.

                       She takes a few steps forward and her robe belt get caught in the IV pole wheels and it come crashing down bringing Ayana with it. It was as if reality snapped Riley back to the here and now. He runs over to Ayana.

"Babe are you ok?" Riley says and panics when he notices blood on the floor.

"I think so, oh I'm bleeding" she says as she lifts her arm. She had pulled the IV clear out of her arm when she fell down.

"What the devil is going on out here?" Nique says to them as Riley picks up Ayana off the floor and begins to carry her to the room.

"I'm an idiot, that's what's going on here." Riley says to her. Nique just shakes her head.

                   Riley gets Ayana to the bed quickly. He looks very embarrassed with regret in his blue eyes. He begins to weep, she pulls him close to her and she stokes his hair and hums. He looks up to her.

"I'm so sorry, I have no idea what came over me. The thought of you being hurt was more than I could bear," he says looking down at his hands.

"You frightened me." she says.

"I didn't mean to, please don't be upset."

" I was scared for you and thankful that you stopped."

"I'm just so tired and I was not thinking straight"

"You can go home and sleep if you want."

"No! I told you that I wouldn't leave you alone, I'm staying if that is ok.".

"Of course silly! Give me a kiss and lie next to me and go to sleep." He kisses her and they get carried away in the moment.

"Gross" Jack laughs.

"Shut up Jack!" Riley laughs.

"You ok BB? Jesse asks?"

"BB?" Ayana asks.

"Baby Brother." Jesse says with a huge smile.

"Jesse I'm sorry I yelled at you." Riley says.

"No worries, I understand I would do that too if someone tried to hurt Zoe."

"You cool now Riley?" Jack asks but does not get an answer from him.

"He fell asleep." Ayana laughs.

"Little punk." Jack laughs.

"Are you ok Ayana? Jesse asks.

"Yes, I am. I do not understand why Johnny did that."

"Because he is the crazy one Ayana." Jack says.

"Who is Johnny again?" Jesse asks.

"You know that short juice head that comes to my house a lot" Jack answers.

"You mean that loud mouth" Jesse asks which makes Ayana belly laugh.

"Yup that would be him. Jack says.

"Hey guys." Ayana begins "Has Riley ever gotten that mad before?"

"Once when we went out to dinner at this posh club and some guy grabbed Ava's ass and last year after Jesse's wedding," Jack says.
