Our food item today is fish!

Does anyone know what the happiest country in the world is? Denmark! If you don't know where Denmark is, it's a tiny peninsula right above Germany. (P.S. It's where my ancestors are from so I'm kind of in love with the country. If you are reading this and you are from Denmark, PM ME BECAUSE I LOVE YOU. K, back to fish.)

Point being, they eat a lot of fish in Denmark. I'm not sure if that's causation, but it's definitely correlation.

Now, fun fact, fish is one of THE healthiest foods in the world. It is so good for you. And eating healthy makes you happier. But specifically relating to happiness, I'll go into more detail.

Now fish contain 2 very important vitamins in them: omega-3 and vitamin D.

Omega-3:

It also helps fight depression and can increase the effectiveness of anti-depressant medicines

Vitamin D:

Now, eating fish is one of the only ways to get vitamin D apart from sunlight

Now, eating fish is one of the only ways to get vitamin D apart from sunlight. There are a few other foods but not many. So if you're like me and don't go outside enough...eat fish! Keep up those vitamin D levels!

(Side note: also, you should go outside more. Studies show that being outside improves your mood and helps your body run a bit smoother.)
