Namjoon

I waited for him to look at me so I could explain but he kept his gaze on the ground so I awkwardly began by introducing myself, "Right, I am a prince who visited this castle a hundred years ago, to marry the king's child"

I coughed, checking to see his reactions. His eyes were wide upon listening to my words but he instantly looked back down when he saw me looking at him.

"However, the child's jealous stepmother cursed me to become a statue and the palace to be forever gloomy. My only hope was that someone would find my magic whistle and use it to bring me back to life."

"Now, the curse is broken. Thanks to you " I ended, taking his hands once more as a thankful gesture, somewhere in me had hoped he wouldn't pull away this time.

My insides jumped around when he didn't pull away but I found it odd that he still had his eyes fixed on his feet. "Are you that horrified of me?" I whispered solemnly as I caressed his hands in an attempt to soothe him.

It bereaved me to watch someone who saved me be afraid of me so much, almost feels like I am not supposed to come back to life.

Seeing him shake his head at my words somewhat relieved me. My happiness grew when he finally collected his bravery to look up at me.

"My apologies uh Prince Namjoon" he smiled nervously. I could tell he was still on edge so I pressed his hands slightly firmer this time as an ssurance for him. "No need with the formalities sir"

"Besides, since you reside here I'm assuming you're also a prince?" I questioned being as careful as possible with each word.

He nodded hesitantly. "I'm Seokjin" he spoke with a voice almost inaudible. "Nice name for a nice and adorable person" I admitted. He peered at me through his lashes and he blushed, a rosy tint on his cheeks.

"Thank you" his voice sounded shy and soft which I found very comforting. I faked a cough so he'd look at me and it worked.

"I kind of don't have a place to stay right now" I spoke, fiddling with my fingers. He looked around at first seemingly to try and find any form of being he could ask help from but there were just us there.

"It'd be hard for you to find shelter anywhere else right now, it's very late" he said with eyes still wandering. "Uhm I guess you can stay with me in the meantime"

His voice was layered with hesitance but I was just thankful that he understood my condition. He beckoned me to follow him as we passed the sleeping palace guards with drool going down their mouths.

Every step we took echoed throughout the quiet and dimly lit castle. We walked up the stairs to where I assumed was an empty room.

He panicked when he realised the room was locked. "You'll have to sleep in my room, the guest room is locked" he whispered. He pulled me to his bedroom and laid out quilts and blankets for meeting to sleep on.

He even gave me pajamas to sleep in. I acknowledged his kind act and it was my turn to blush. It hadn't even been long since we met but he's already so kind to me.

He did not say much afterwards which allowed me to know that he was still not fully comfortable around me but I didn't mind it. He turned his back to me and faced the wall. I was finally able to look at him without getting caught.

His pastel pink hair looked soft and it took all of me to not play with it and his pyjama just made him appear extremely cuddly.
