apologies for the absence of namjoon in this fic

Namjoon

I slapped myself and tossed to the other side so my back was to his. What was I thinking, I literally just met him goodness gracious Namjoon. It was hard for me to fall asleep because I was both scared and excited to finally see tomorrow after so long.

I dreaded and looked forward to it.

As the sun came up, I shook Namjoon's arm until he awoke. "Let's go grab breakfast, I still need to explain things about you anyway" I hastily buttoned up my shirt while he got up and rubbed his eyes.

We got down a few minutes later and I halted out of the blue, Namjoon almost bumping into me. Something was wrong I can feel it.

I looked at the atmosphere, it was lively. As if the palace came to life. Like everyone was awaken from something that has been holding them down to be glum. Everyone chatted merrily with each other.

They were so cheerful and it made me think about Namjoon's word last night of how his stepmother cursed the palace so the household would always be depressed unless the curse is broken.

Now that the curse is broken, everything was going about how it's supposed to. My eyes teared up for I never would have thought to see everyone here so cheerful but now it's happening right before my eyes.

"They're happy..." I blinked my tears not wanting Namjoon to see them. "Yes they are, I could only imagine how hard it was for you to live for so long with sorrowful people"

I silently agreed on his statement, it really was rough. Namjoon stood by his side and watched the people walking about. "Now, lets go meet your parents"

I let Namjoon tug my hand to the great hall, my father and mother stood there with bright faces while talking to the gardener. "Mother..." I softly called.

She looked at me and and it appeared as if something clicked in her, she rushed towards me. "Oh Seokjin, we're sorry" her voice muffled as she embraced me in a tight hug.

Seokjin failed to hold in the tears and eventually broke down in her arms. Tears trickled down endlessly when his father decided to join in and hug both of them. It was the first time he hugged Seokjin.

He could feel Namjoon looking at them and Seokjin looked at him to see mother's eyes already on him as she held her hand out for him.

He had a satisfied smile as he reached out to shake his hand with hers but instead, she quickly pulled him to join in on their hug. Seokjin could tell he was taken aback by it but it warmed his heart when Namjoon decided to go along with it.

It took them a moment to compose ourselves. Father and mother elaborated on their actions, saying they were in trance like a force was controlling them but after Seokjin made Namjoon explain his situation, everything made sense.

At last, the king and queen weren't unhappy anymore amd were overjoyed to see their son and the prince. "We have lived under this enchantment far too long" Seokjin's father spoke.

"Now that the curse has been broken, we'll make this castle a happy place once more" I grinned as I handed Seokjin the tin whistle.

He gave me a confused look and I nodded to the instument. Fortunately, he got the message and started to play it. Seokjin's parents were the ones who danced first and the servants stopped to look at them.

I pulled each and every one of them to join us and, with open hearts, they gleefully twirled and waltzed. A while later, the tin whistle started to play by itself and I pulled Seokjin's hand to dance with me.
