Soon, everyone ditched their work and tagged along after hearing the music the tin whistle played. Then, all at once, the mansion instantly became a bright and happy place.

---

Of course, when Namjoon stated that he'd be leaving to find a place to stay, the queen and king strongly objected. Hell even Seokjin was against it. They felt that they haven't done anything to repay Namjoon.

So, they asked him to stay at the castle. It may have appeared that he didn't   want to live there but inside Namjoon's mind, he was more than glad to accept their offer.

Besides, he had zero plans on what to do next had they let him go. He'd be left alone to live for himself when he has no idea where to even start. From that day on, he became one of the castle's residents.

Nearly everyday, Namjoon would wake up earlier than everyone else- due to the still unfamiliar atmosphere around him and he'd use that time to sneak into Seokjin's bedroom which was across his and surprise him.

Today was just like clockwork. Right after cleaning himself, he successfully made his way into Seokjin's, now his friend's room without waking him. He was waiting for the right time to wake him up.

Namjoon

I gradually got closer to his bed and pounced on his sleeping figure, careful not to hurt him.

"Haaaa!!" I screamed which resulted in Seokjin springing up into a sitting position with his eyes wider than ever. "Aughh" he grunted as a frown settled on his features.

His hands landed there cupping it hard while looking to be in extreme agony. "Oh shi-" I almost cursed after realising I had not been careful after all. heh

I hurriedly crawled off the bed. "Goodness me, Namjoon!" he winced still holding there. "I apologise" my statement short as I found it slightly funny.

"Does it still hurt?" my voice now laced with concern as I walked closer to him. "Duhh I thought I saw The Light for a moment"

He leapt off the bed and went into the bathroom to brush his teeth and I trailed behind him like a lost puppy. "Seokjin hyung... Mianhae" I tugged on his free hand.

He looked down at me and glowered, "Eugh stop acting cutesy Namjoon, I already told you not to call me hyung. Makes me feel old" he said, flipping his hair.

---

"Alright alright lets go down, I'm hungry" Namjoon said rubbing his tummy. "Fine lift me up" Namjoon looked at him questioningly which had Seokjin rolling his eyes.

"What, you already forgot that you kicked my balls?" Namjoon cringed and scratched his head awkwardly. He proceeded to lift Seokjin up bridal style resulting in Seokjin's heart thumping rapidly.

He silently prayed Namjoon didn't feel it as they were very close and fortunately, he didn't notice. He was too preoccupied on looking forward while balancing Seokjin in his arms.

---

It became like a routine for them to go into the garden and spend their time together there. Namjoon would wait for Seokjin to come back from school and then they'd do all sorts of activities there.

Namjoon loved hearing Seokjin reading out his poems and playing his instruments the most. Seokjin, he was overjoyed to have found someone who liked listening to him play and recite.

There was no doubt they enjoyed each other's company. Pretty much everywhere they went to, they would be by each other's side. Namjoon didn't want to admit to himself at first, that he was falling for the older.

After spending days with Seokjin, Namjoon grew to love everything about him, including his flaws. How Seokjin looked when he does things he loves to do was mesmerising.

But Namjoon was scared.
