Hours had passed when yuri had finally finished. He back in his chair, a triumphant smile plastered onto his face. Yuri turned to me "you wanna here it?" He asked. I nodded my head excited as I popped an ear bud into my ear. Yuri put in the other one and pressed play. The song that came through was absolutely beautiful and I loved everything about it.

A wide grin spread across my face, "I love it!" I squealed as I launched myself into yuri's arms, wrapping him in a tight hug. Yuri let out a low groan from the pressure of my hug making me quickly remember myself. I stumbled trying to release him, I sat back in my seat a little embarrassed.

"I'm glad you like it y/n. This is going to be the song you skate to victory with" he said with a grin and a wink making my cheeks heat up. It also helped to know a skater that I had idolized wasnt only helping me, but actually believed in me.  I had to hold in an squeal as I let my mind wander to what my future season would look like as I skated to this piece. I was ready to explode from excitement when yuri spoke up. "Would you like to get dinne?" He asked after checking the time on his phone. I did the same, glancing at the numbers. When I saw the time, as if to give it's own input my stomach growled loudly. I laughed and nodded my head.

"Sure some food sounds great" I said standing up. Yuri grinned at me and stood aswel, grabbing his jacket off the back of the chair. I grabbed one from my closet and followed him out the door. We bid my mother farewell, who gave me a strange look as I disappeared.

The cold winter air while my hair around my reddening face. As the wind attacked my skin with its icy temperature, I stuffed my hands in my pockets for warmth as yuri did the same besides me. "Where to?" I asked curiously as I fell into step besides the raven haired boy.

Yuri nodded his head forward, "I know a really good noodle place a few blocks this way." He said into the breeze. Hearing him say noodles made my mouth water just from the anticipation.

When we reached the store front yuri held the door open for me and allowed me to step inside. The warm environment of the restaurant was a stark contrast to harsh cold outside. Upon stepping inside my bones felt like they were being melted by a loving embrace full of warmth and happiness, or I was just hungry and the smell of ramen had made me begin to hallucinate.

We were lead to a table and sat down to look over their menu. It didnt take me long to decide what I wanted so I set my menu aside. Yuri, who was familiar with the place, also didnt take very long deciding, so we chatted while we waited for the waitress to return for our order.

"So you really didnt start skating until a few years ago?" Yuri asked leaning forward. I nodded my head silently. "You really have a natural talent y/n. It's very impressive. That someone can learn so much in so little time. It shouldn't be possible." I shrugged my shoulders awkwardly. Being told that I was crazy and what I was trying to do was impossible wasnt anything that was new.

"Yea I know. I'm pretty used to people doubting me." I said, making yuri shake his head furiously.

"No! That's not what I'm aiming at I swear. I genuinely find you incredible." This made my cheeks blush, and I think he too tealized.his words because his cheeks also lit up red.

Before either of our faced could get any redder a small cheerful girl appeared in front of our table with a notepad in hand. "What can I get you two today?" She asked happily, readying her pen. She had our orders written down and was gone in seconds, her smile never wavering as she went about her work.

"So do you come here often then?" I asked trying to keep the conversation away from awkward silence. Yuri nodded excitedly,

"Yea it's one of my favorite restaurants." I smiled at him happily, the smile widening when a steaming bowl of noodles was placed in front of me. Without either of us speaking, we had both armed ourselves with a pair of chopsticks and wasted no time digging in to the delicious ramen.

After dinner, and an argument that followed over who was paying that yuri eventually won, he walked me home. It was still freezing outside, and I hated the chilling air but the walk its self was nice. We talked about all sorts of things, and cracked jokes to eachother.

When we reached my house I stopped and turned to face him. We stood silently staring at eachother on the sidewalk in front of my door. "Thank you for taking me to dinner. I had a great time." I said quietly. Yuri just smile,

"Anytime. I had fun today, glad we got that song worked out. I cant see what routine viktor makes for you." Yuri's enthusiasm brought a smile to my face. He paused to awkwardly rub the back of his neck as he looked down at me. "I'll see ya tomorrow." I nodded with a wide smile, and without thinking, I lifted myself onto my tip toes and softly placed a kiss on his cheek.

"Goodnight" I said before slipping through the door. As soon as it had shut behind me I leaned my back against it and covered my face with my hands and choked back a scream. I shouldn't have done that, I knew I shouldn't have. But why did?! I don't know what came over me but I had a feeling things were going to be awkward in the morning.
