Chapter 18

Jacqui's Pov

I walk into Leo's hospital room, with two cups of coffee in my hands.

"Hey Leo, I brought you some coff-"
I frown when I realise that the bed is empty and the sheets haven't been made.

It looks as if someone just took him and couldn't give a care in the world.

I glance around the room slowly to see if there are any clues that have been left behind.

I am just about to leave the room when my eyes scan over something pink.

I walk over to it and out both of the coffee cups down on the bedside table.

I pick up the pink thing and cautiously turn it around in my hands.

I catch a glimpse of black ink inside the pink piece of paper. I quickly assume that it's a note.

I open up the note and read what it says.

Bitch-face
I know you like Leo and I know Leo likes you, so I have a suprise for you.
Meet me at the abandoned warehouse at 6:20pm.
Bring your boyfriend Zach or Leo gets hurt.

That bitch!! She better not have done anything to Leo. He doesn't deserve any of this.

I can't bring Zach. He'll think I'm having an affair with Leo.

No no no no!!! Argh!

I pull my phone out of my pocket and check the time.

5:43pm.

Okay I have a bit to tell Zach.
I put my password in and go into my contacts. I search for Zach's name and find it and quickly call him.

He picks up on the fourth ring.

"Jac? Are you okay? Is something wrong?"

"There is something wrong. But I'm okay,"

"What is it?"

I take a deep breath before begining.

"It's Leo. He wasn't in his hospital bed when I went to check up on him and there was a pink note left-"

"What does it say?"
He interrupts me but I continue.

" Bitch-face
I know you like Leo and I know Leo likes you, so I have a suprise for you.
Meet me at the abandoned warehouse at 6:20pm.
Bring your boyfriend Zach or Leo gets hurt.

I don't know who Belinda is, but she sounds like a bitch"

"Damn, Jacqui you need to go there. She could really hurt him again, more than he already is, but I'll be by your side for the whole time, I'll make sure that nothing happens to you or Leo,"

My heart warms at what he says to me about Leo and myself.

"Thank you Zach. We should probably head off. Meet me here at the hospital  in five minutes."

"Okay. Yep. See you soon. I love you Jacqui,"

"I love you too. Bye."

With that I hang up quickly and collect my things getting prepared for the worst while waiting for Zach.

I then go to the from of the hospital outside and shiver as I realise that I don't have a jumper.

A few minutes later I hear Zach's car engine and I rush towards his car and open the passenger door.

I get in quickly and sigh in relief when he puts the heat on.

I smile at him gratefully and he returns the smile.
