Jacqui's Story

Chapter 7

Steph's Pov
Shopping with Jacqui is the best! She gives the best advice, plus she has good taste in clothes and what to wear. Although she hasn't been acting like herself these past few days. And if she won't tell me what's going on, then I guess I will have to find out myself.

Still Steph's Pov
Ring ring. The sound of the doorbell rings in my head. I'm home alone so I don't really have to hurry to the door. I get up from my bed and open the door. I suprised to find Jacqui standing there. I am actually a bit shocked because we weren't out that long ago shopping. "Hey." Jacqui says. "Oh hey, what made you come over here?" I ask. "Oh, um I just have something that I need to tell you. I have been keeping this away from you for a while but I decided that I guess now is the right time to tell you." She says. She looks down at her feet and then proceeds to speak. "Okay, well I have this ability to see ghosts and talk to them whenever I want to. And I never told you when I first knew because I thought that you would think that I'm playing some stupid joke on you." She explains. Okay the girl has a point. I thought. "Oh, well how are you coping with that?" I ask her. She nods her head and answers "yeah I'm doing okay, but now I can talk to my dad." She says while looking down at her feet once again. "Well that's great news!" I exclaim. Se just nods her head in agreement. Oh crap, I forgot to invite her in! I'm such a horrible friend! "Come in." I say. She walks through the door and shuts it after her. "Would you like to watch a movie to get that stuff out the way?" I ask. "Yeah sure. Thanks for understanding Steph. It really means a lot to me." She says. "Yeah of course." I reply with.

Jacqui's Pov
Steph took that really well. I expected her to laugh at me and say are you kidding me? Stop playing this joke. But I'm glad she understands now.
After the movie I went home.  I am now sitting on my bed skyping Zach. He picks up after the first few rings. "Hey." His husky voice says. "Hey." I reply with. "So what's been happening?" He asks me. "Oh, ah I told Steph that I can talk to ghosts and see them." I replied. "Oh how'd that go?" He asked. "Well... She took it better than I had imagined." I laughed. He laughed back with me. "So what was her reaction?" He asked. "Well she kinda just looked at me, and yeah, she just kinda accepted it as I kept on telling her. But I think she was a bit shocked at first because she left me standing outside her house while we were talking, making me look like an idiot!" I exclaimed. All he did was laugh. "Babe your already an idiot. An idiot that I love and you mean the world to me babe." He says finally. I just stare at him in shock. "Did you just call me an idiot?" I asked. "Yes I did babe, but you know I am smarter than you anyways!?" He laughed. "Oh it's on!" I say. He just shakes his head and laughs. "Soo anyway getting off that topic, what are you doing tomorrow?" He asks me. "Ah I honestly don't think I am doing anything tomorrow at all. What have you got planned?" I ask him. "Well maybe we could go to the movies and then out for lunch?" He replied with. I nod m head in agreement. "Yeah, sure, let me just go down and ask mum if I'm doing anything tomorrow." I say. He just nods his head.

I quickly run down the stairs. I run into the lounge room, just knowing my mum would be there. And I am right. She was just sitting there watching the news. "Hey mum can I go with Zach to the movies then out for lunch tomorrow please? I ask her. "Yeah sure Hun, that's fine with me, but make sure he stays for dinner okay?" She replies with. "Okay yep! Thanks mum! I love you!" I say. She replies with a nod of her head and a laugh. I quickly run back upstairs and tell Zach that I can go. He says that he has to go so I said see you tomorrow then I log off. I go downstairs and tell mum I'm going to bed. I wasn't very hungry anyways so I just grabbed an apple. I finished my apple, then brushed my teeth, then changed into my pyjamas and then jumped into my warm bed. I drifted off into a sleep.
