Chapter 23

Back in the hotel, Gon is still in his deep slumber but somehow his sleep doesn't seems to be comfortable enough. Although the weather is currently freezing cold but his clothes damp with sweats and his face is frowning. It seems like he's been haunting by a bad dream again.

In his dream, he and Killua is currently walking together by the river. Both of them are smiling and laughing. It seems like they're having a great time. Gon look at Killua's face. That boy look so happy today. It's not like Killua always look sober or what but it is just that today he look much happier than he usually is. He's not sure why.

They keep walking and laughing. Gon can't seems to hear what their conversation is all about. Everything in his dream seems blurry but what he can understand is that they're having a really good time at the moment. The breeze feel so nice. It blows Killua's smooth silver hair and sometimes Gon can see Killua's hand cares his own hair in order to make sure it is still looks good even in the windy weather.

Everything looks so perfect in that dream. Gon wish that this peaceful moment will last forever. Although everything seems quiet in the dream, but the visual is enough to show the happiness that these two best friends are currently having. Gon look at the sky. It is so wide and blue. Just as blue as Killua's eyes. He stares at those eyes. Yes it is blue until suddenly it turns into bloody red. The sky isn't blue anymore. Everything is dark now. The wind stop.

Gon started to panic. Everything around him seems so dark. There's a river of blood in front of him. It was a beautiful river a couple of minutes ago but it changed just in a blink of eyes. Killua is still staring at him and walk closer to him slowly.

"Killua what happened to you?" For the first time in the dream, he can hear his own voice. Killua didn't say anything and keep on moving towards Gon. Gon keep standing on his place this time and let Killua come nearer to him. He need to know the reason to Killua's sudden change.

Killua is now just a few steps away from him. He stop walking anymore and keep starring at Gon. He smile at Gon. Gon's legs tremble a bit to see the devilish smile came out from his best friend's mouth.

Suddenly something came out from Killua's back. It is a pair of wings with black feathers covering the wings. Killua jump and in a second he is currently flying on the air. Gon have to tilt his head in order to look at Killua and at the same time covering his eyes with his palm. The wind from Killua's wings are just too strong.

"Killua! Please come down Killua. Please don't scare me like this!" Gon try to persuade Killua but that boy did nothing but laughing so loud. The voice came out from his mouth isn't sounds like Killua's voice anymore. The voice sounds so deep. It seems like something already possessed him. He smirks and look at Gon sharply.

"Gon, tell me what is your regret? What will you do if you've been given a second chance?" Gon couldn't even said anything as Killua fly so fast upward and disappeared into the black sky.

"Killua!!!!....Killua!!! Come back Killua!!!"
