(Alex's POV)

I wake up to my annoying alarm and get out of bed. I throw on a pair of skinny jeans and a green shirt. I tie my hair back and go freshen up. After I look decent enough I hurry and grab a water bottle and my backpack and run down to say goodbye to my mother.

"Bye mom" I say running into her room. Its empty. Huh she didn't come home last night. I shrug and leave the house. I take my time getting to school and still get there by seven thirty. I walk to my friends and stand by John.

"Good morning" I say

"Morning" everyone replies

"So Alex are you single?" Laf asks out of the blue.

"Yeah?" I reply

"That's cool, so is John."

I feel a tint in my cheeks "Cool"

"Yep, last time he's been in a relationship was in eighth grade,"

"Who were you with John?" I ask looking at him.

"Ugh, don't even start with Samuel Seabury Laf. I don't even know what I saw in that guy" John says.

"I heard he's with Charles Lee now" Hercules says

"Cool" Says Laf

"So have you been with anyone Alex?" Hercules says

"Yeah" I feel John stiffen next to me "His name is Thomas."

"Whaat? He's an asshole!" Laf exclaims, "How?"

"Well I was lonely as heck and he was there and we like hit it off for a while then he cheated on me so I broke his nose." I say

"Good." John says, "I would never do that to you."

"I'm sure you wouldn't" I giggle I grab his hand. I don't know why I just want to hold his hand. He freezes up then relaxes, I guess I surprised him. Just then the bell rings.

"See you lovebirds!" Laf says walking away with Hercules. We walk together to the turtle pond.

"So," I say

"So... did you eat yet?"

Ugh "No, not hungry"

"Eat ten fries this lunch"

"Too much work" I say

"Alex, if you keep this up you'll faint." He turns to look at me with a worried expression, "when was the last time you had a full meal?"

"A few days ago I think" I say. Huh I really can't remember...

"Alex..."

"Yes?"

"Just. Be careful that's all. For me?"

"I'll be fine John I swear" I say squeezing his hand looking him in the eye.

"Alright" He squeezes back.

"So... Samuel Seabury..." I say teasing him

"UGH want to hear a story?"

"Always" I smirk

"Ok so in eighth grade I had a huge crush on him. Heck, I liked him since seventh grade I think. Anyway, I barely knew him and he asked me out. I said yeah. So then I had a boyfriend, cool. We were together for four months. He randomly dumped me one day. I was going to hug him and he just said, 'Well uh technically uh, nah' then walked away. And he never talked to me again. What a weirdo."

"Wow..." I say. "Wanna hear about Thomas?"

"Yeah"

"Okay so like I was a freshman when I met him. He was really flirtatious and stuff so it wasn't surprising that I developed a crush. It also wasn't surprising that he asked me out. Of course I said yes so we were together for the rest of freshman year and then in the beginning of sophomore year he wanted to, uh, you know..." I say clearing my throat "I didn't want to yet and I told him to wait. Obviously he didn't want to wait, he kept asking and pressuring me until I finally caved in and we uh... yeah."
