Chapter 17

Selena's POV;

It is Halloween night. I change into my costume and look at my reflection. I wear http://www.polyvore.com/selenas_cinderella_costume/set?id=80485376.
"Selena, Justin's here!" I hear my mom yell. I go out into the hallway and see Justin. I smile and walk towards him. We then get into my car and drive to the party. I've never been to a party here in Detroit. Apparently, there are a lot of parties tonight. We are going to Demi's party.

We arrive at Demi's house and get out of the car. I see Demi standing outside the door smiling. Beside her is Caitlin, she wears http://www.polyvore.com/caitlins_angel_costume/set?id=80487945. I walk over to them and give them each a hug then I go inside. Ashley and Vanessa are in the kitchen. Everyone else arrives soon and the party starts. The music is loud and dancey. Justin is a pretty good dancer, all eyes are on us when we dance together. Some kids bring drugs and alcohol but Justin and I don't have any. At around midnight, Ashley gets a call. I am with her in the kitchen refilling our drinks.
"What do you want?" She says into the phone with an annoyed voice. "Why her?" she asks with a worried look in her eyes.

"I know I messed up but I can't do that," she says with fear in her voice. I can hear a muffled voice yelling back at her through the phone. It's probably a guy from school.
"Fine, I'll do it. When do you want it done?" she asks.
"Fine, I'll be over soon," she says as she hangs up.
"Who was that?" I ask her. She wipes a tear from her eyes and fakes a smile.
"Just my dad, he wants me back at the house," she says as she grabs her purse and goes into the other room. She calls for Vanessa and has her drive her home.

I go back over to Justin.
"Hey, guys guess who's here!" a voice yells. Everyone turns around to see Lil Twist, Jinsu, Lil Za and the rest of their gang.
"What are you doing here?" Justin asks him.
"I just came to party," Jinsu claims. "Then party somewhere else," he snaps.
"Why, are you scared that I'll steal your girl again?" he asks.
"Just go home," Justin says.
"I have as much right to be here as you," he points out. He then looks to me. "Aww, Cinderella and Prince Charming. Ain't that cute." he steps closer to me and Justin steps in front of me.

"Leave us alone," Justin says. Demi makes her way through the crowd with pepper spray. "It's time for you to leave," she demands. "Fine, we'll go. I just wanted to remind lil Beaver over there that I will get my revenge."
"You keep on saying that but I don't see you doing anything," Justin snaps.
"You will, you'll all see," he says before he leaves with his gang. I look over to Justin and he looks over to me. I walk over to him and hug him.
