"Y/N."
"Y/N!"
"Y/N!!! What the shuck?!"
Thomas' loud voice jolted me awake from my deep slumber.
"What, you klunk-headed shuck-face?!" I said, my voice filled with annoyance as I rub my eyes to see his face clearly.
"You just overslept, that's all." Thomas replied with a calm tone and fake smiled. He stayed like that for a while and then hit me with a pillow straight on my face. "No time for free loaders, get your ass up!"
As he said those, he sat up and left my room.
Thomas has been my best friend since day one. We've shared the closest bond out of all the Gladers which I'm really thankful for because I don't know what I'd do without that dumb shank. He's like a brother to me.
I got up from my bed, prepared my stuff and headed straight to the bathroom to take a quick shower. After that, I got dressed and went in the kitchen for a while.
"Morning, Y/N!" Frypan greeted me with a smile as he handed me my breakfast. "Here's bacon and egg especially made for our Lovely-Glader-Who-Always-Wake-Up-Late."
"Morning to you too, Fry." replied with a smile as I started to eat. "How much time did I miss?"
"2 hours." Frypan replied.
"Well, that's a new. I always wake up like 3 hours late or so. I deserve a medal." I said.
"Time was not the only thing you missed, though." Frypan said.
"What else?" I asked, oblivious.
"You mean, who else." Frypan teased.
Right after he said who, I already know who's he talking about. I don't even have to think twice.
"Oh, shut up." I said, rolling my eyes.
"I'm gonna say it." Frypan teased again.
"No, you're not." I said, raising my eyebrows.
"Mi—" Frypan started but I interrupted him by saying, "Say it out loud or I'm gonna smash this plate to your face."
"Well, that's aggressive." Frypan said. Wait no, he didn't. He didn't move his mouth. And it's definitely not his voice.
I turned my head to see Minho—who was wearing his usual pale blue button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up so that we can see his muscular, glorious, and buff biceps and his veins popping out of his arms. His hair doing its thing and his jaw... (Okay I need to stop)—sitting beside me, smirking to what I just said.
"Oh, uh," I stuttered, shocked.
I don't know what to say but my mind is like "HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE RUNNING WHY IS HE HERE OH MY GOD" right now.
"Well, you're still surprised? It seems like she always wants to kill everyone." Frypan interrupted my thoughts as he handed Minho his breakfast.
"I like that." Minho replied, slightly smiling to me.
"Uh, thanks?" My lips curved into a slight smile.
