Him and First day of school

My first three days in Rose Town turned out to be a wonderful experience to my surprise. That's all thanks to...no other than "my baby" -- Lawrence.

He showed me around the town and let me eat at the diners or food stalls he find "amazeballs". We went to his basketball game as promised and every one on his team stared at me and were very much surprised that Lawrence brought a girl on his game.

'...I didn't... That's the new girl right?'

A guy wearing a pair of orange-shining-shimmering-basketball-shoes was punched Lawrence lightly on his left shoulder. Lawrence just shrugged his shoulders and just headed directly to their locker room.

A minute after, I received a text coming from him.

From Lawrence:
I should have known that bringing you here will make you a target for rumors. I'm sorry, Baby. 😩

I replied.
To Lawrence:
Nah, I don't mind. I don't even know them. I could care less. Don't worry about me too much. I'll be fine. ☺

From Lawrence:
I will always worry. You can't take that away from me. I know you'll be fine but I would always want to protect you. Got it?😉

To Lawrence:
Okay.
And stop texting! Change your clothes quick! 😡😡😡

From Lawrence:
😱😱😱😱 Scary.

Lol. ✌🏻 See you in a bit, baby.

His team won the game and he juuuusssst can't stop bragging about it and how good he was. And all I can say was, 'Okay' and he'll pout his lips. Everything's great and my stay couldn't be more exciting.

I'm always excited of the thought that his the first person I would start my day with and he would also be the person who would tell me, 'Good night, baby' every night.

Beeeeeeeeeeepppp. Beeeeeeeeppppp. Beeeeeeeeeeep.

I glanced at my alarm clock. Oh my gosh! I'll be late if I don't take my shower quick.

Ughh.

My first day of school and I'm the one who's going to ruin it. Tsk.

Took a quick shower, dressed up, packed my things and fixed my room in less than an hour.

I hurried down the stairs so my dad can drive me to school. When I checked our dining room or our living room. Nobody's there.

'Moommm?? Daaaddd??'

Oh God! Did they leave me on purpose?

I run to the kitchen only to see Loretta, our house help, I greeted her and asked her where my parents are.

'Oh, they already left. They were in a hurry earlier. Don't worry. Rose Town is such a small place, Amber. You will arrive at your school shortly.'

'But...how?...'

I can't. Unbelievable!! Why would they do this to me? First day of school! First day! Ughhh!!

'You can walk or you can ride the school bus... But, don't worry about it. Take your breakfast first.'

Loretta smiled and ushered me to the dining room. She is a real sweetheart. She has been in our family for more than 5 years. I learned that her husband was originally from Rose Town and that they already have a house established in the area. That's why she knows the place better than me, I think.

'I can't believe my Mom and my Dad would do this to me! My parents.'

I sounded disappointed and maybe a little bit frustrated. Though, I know where my new school is. It's just that I don't have a car and I don't want to ride a bus.

'Are you okay, Amber?'
'I'll be fine, Loretta. Maybe I'll just skip school for today.'

I was about to head upstairs when we heard our doorbell. Loretta and I exchanged looks. She looked confused that means she doesn't have any idea who it would be.

She walked towards the door and opened it. It was LAWRENCE! Of course, he would always love to save the day.

'Lawrence...'

Loretta said shyly. He really have an unexplainable charm to most of the ladies.

'Hi, Loretta! Good morning! ☺ Is Amber here?'

'Ye...Yes.'

Loretta is blushing and before she could humiliate herself, I walked towards the door and greeted Lawrence. His eyes' expression dramatically changed the moment he saw me. Or maybe that was me? Or maybe I'm just imagining things. Never mind. This is my story. 😝

'You're here?'

Lawrence looked over to his left shoulder then to his right. 🙄

'Were you expecting somebody else?'
'Yes.'

The joyful expression on his eyes immediately vanished and his eyebrows crossed.
'Who?'

Even the tone of his voice changed!
'Captain America.'

I finally answered. He smiled and hugged me tight upon hearing my answer. Now that's weird.

'Too tight. Too tight, Lawrence.'
'I'm sorry. You caught me off guard. I thought you were really expecting someone else.'

He let go of me and hold my hand.

'Let's go?'

I looked ay him confused.

'Where?'
'School.'
'But...'
'What is it?'
'Aren't you afraid that there will be a lot of people that will see you hanging out with me today?'

'So?'
'You said you're popular. People might stop admiring you because you are hanging out with me. Unless, you are not really popular...'

' I don't care either I maybe or maybe not popular at school. You're my friend. my friend. You're the only person that matters, baby. I could care less of what will other think about me. Understand, Amber?'

I nod. I can't add more. I feel secured. What harm would it bring just hanging out with Lawrence? Nothing.

Lawrence said goodbye to Loretta and we head out. I'm not sure what will happen but I'm happy that he's always there to help me out.

I hope nothing will change and this could be a start of a something new.
