Neighbours

Chapter 1;

mia's pov;

"Mia, we have new neighbours!".

I put down my laptop and walked out of my room, and down my stairs to find my mum and little sister staring out the living room window.

"It's rude to stare"

I whispered making my little sister giggle and my mum roll her eyes. "How many people are moving in?"

I asked my curiosity getting the better of me.

"A man and a boy, I wonder if its his son?..Mia go introduce yourself!"

My mum said happily, closing the curtain and running into the kitchen.

She came back with a cup of sugar and smiled at me.

"What are you waiting for? Give them this and find out more about them" my mum said winking and walking away.

" can I come?"

My sister asked pleadingly.

"Course get your coat"

I told her staring at the cup of sugar in my hand. Seriously..sugar?

"Ready"

My little sister Maddy shouted standing at the door. I nodded at her, sliding on my boots and leather jacket. I opened the door and stepped outside, I hadn't realised how freezing it was outside. Maddy took my hand and we walked down the path, and turned right. There was a big lorry parked up and people were taking furniture into the house.

"Can I help you"

I jumped turning around to see a tall dark haired man smiling at me. "Oh..er"

he frowned and tilted his head to the side.

"Your nervous?"

He asked.

"I'm Maddy"

my little sister said, his gaze fell from me to my sister.

"It's very nice to meet you, I am Elijah"

he told her. He looked back up at me. "And who might you be?"

I stopped looking around and opened my mouth to talk. I couldn't think of what to say so I just thrusted the cup of sugar away from me and out for him to take.

"Sugar"

was all that came out my mouth. He chuckled a little.

"It's nice to meet you sugar"

My sister started to laughing and I felt myself go red.

"Brother, are you terrorising the neighbours already?"

I turned to see a younger guy walk out of the house. He had dark hair too and I couldn't help but notice they looked similar and both where very attractive. "Kol this is Maddy..and..sugar"

Elijah said. Maddy started to laugh again and Kol just stood smiling at us. "My..name i-is Mia"

I said closing my eyes and trying to compose myself.

"Relax darling..we don't bite"

Kol said, I felt a hand on my shoulder and opened my eyes seeing Kol standing right in front of me.

"Would you both like to come inside it's cold out here?"

Elijah asked. Eyeing me as I pulled my jacket right around me. Maddy looked up at me. I looked towards the house. Then shook my head.

"We better be going, my mum will be wondering where we are, we just wanted to give you a cup of sugar"

I told them frowning at the last part seeing as I wasn't sure why I was giving them sugar.

"Well..why don't you bring your mother round for dinner tonight, so we can get to know our neighbours some more"

Elijah told me before holding his hand out, I gave him my hand an he planted a kiss on it.

"It was lovely to meet you Mia, I look forward to dinner"

he stated before walking of into the house.

"We don't have to come round..I expect you'll be busy unpacking"

I told Kol trying to make an excuse, "we insist"

Kol replied.

"Till later".

I nodded and took Maddy's hand and walked back down my path and into my house.
