Pt. 2: Lily

I was confident they have accepted me, but some of the looks I received has me thinking otherwise. What happens if they don't accept me? Even though Octavius and myself is already mated what would happen if they were not to accept me as their Luna. Though I'm still getting used to the idea I just....

''Hello everyone!'' Octavius spoke out into the crowd. Catching everyone's attention.

''Everyone knows I have found my Mate, Lilian Gray'' he says as he gestures to me. I take that as a sign to go and stand by his side '' As accepting to be my Mate she is accepting to be your Luna. I hope you all accept her as she has accepted you. It has not been easy for her so if she would like she may speak" I was not expecting that. Definitely not expecting that I didn't know I would be speaking in front of all these people only thing going through my mind is for me to try not to panic.

"Hi"
At my attempts to sound confident it came out weaker than I planned.

"Some of you already m-met me. Those of you who haven't I hope to get the chance to get to know you. I-I-"
I looked at their faces and then to Octavius. What do I say? Will they accept me if I tell them what I am. He came to my side and we locked our hands together. He looked at me with such approving eyes. He rubbed small circles with his thumb on my palm which was comforting. Even though I could feel him through our bond it still felt nice with his comforting touch.
"At first I didn't know if I wanted to be your Luna. I had my reasons but I found myself quickly changing and I'm beginning to understand the role. If you let me I'll do my best and if you accept me or not I understand but know I also accept you and I'm not in this just for the title as Luna I'm in it for my mate, my friends and family"

With the last word being said I looked at them as they looked at me. My gaze landing on Sage and Daniel who were smiling ear to ear then again as we're the others.
Before I could say anything else everyone kind of bowed.
They accepted me.

After my so called speech, I found my way into the kitchen since it was least crowded and tested my body against the counter. That was easy but-

"There you are that was great. I was expecting someone to challenge you for right to be Luna but I think you gave them a reason not to" in came Sage with one hand over her belly, she's not quite showing yet but I think she just likes the safe feeling knowing her pup was there, well and healthily growing.

"Yeah I was surprised I didn't have a panic attack or anything"
Not that I wasn't surprised.

"You did well. Octavius is out there he's proud"

That made me smile.
"Really?"
Sage didn't say anything just nodded. It was when Evelynn came into the kitchen did she excuse herself.

"Well my daughter it seems you have yourself a family. I hope you won't change your mind this can be a great place for you. No matter our differences-"
Before she could say anything a loud ringing sound brought me to my knees clutching my ears and with it a loud explosion.

"Lily!"
Octavius pained voice rang through my head. I couldn't bring myself to reply. In front of me Evelynn was holding her ears as well. So it wasn't just me.

Pained screams from everyone surrounded the air, whatever it was my ears can't take it.
When it stopped I couldn't bring myself to remove my hands. They hurt, my ears they hurt.

"Find out what happened, everyone get home. Charles, Jordan, Nathan check the perimeter I want to know what the hall happened and why my border patrol are quiet. NOW!"
He was close just outside the door. I could feel his emotions he was a mixed of confusion, worry and anger.

"Lily are you alright?" Evelynn nodded all I could do was nod. Afraid If spoke this oncoming headache would get worse.
My senses may be only half as good as everyone else but sharp and loud noises hurt like a bitch.

"Can I have an aspirin?"
I glanced up from the floor Evelynn was already getting one and taking it then handing one to me.

"Thanks"
After swallowing the horrible tasting pain killer in came Octavius who was healing by me in an instant.

"I'm fine just horrible headache now. What was that? And the explosion?"
He looked to his Mother who was hand over the sink running her head.

"Evie!?" Michael shouted coming in and embraced her.
We were all asking the same question.
What just happened?

After looking for Sage and Jack making sure they were fine we looked for the source of the explosion only to find our house on fire. The kitchen part anyway it was a strange feeling watching your house burn. By the time we were done putting the fire out there would already be too much damage.

The smoke was bad but that didn't stop the one scent I knew too well to make its way through the air.
I looked around searching Octavius smelt it to.
I followed the scent to where I was feet from our territories boarder.

I wasn't going to cross I wasn't that stupid. Plus if I did Octavius would pull me back.
My eyes scanned the woods only feet away from us was the twins.
They snarled and growled then disappeared.

That was when I decided to panic.
