I kept my eyes on the road. Not a word has been said these past 10 minutes we've been in the car. Silence filled the air, but it wasn't awkward like it used to be. It's like our bond became stronger over these 8 months we've known each other.

"So, um how did you like the party?", I asked breaking the silence. She sighed with a small laugh, "It was, amazing. I saw people I haven't seen in months, years actually, I had a blast"

I smiled slightly, "I'm glad you had fun". I drove up to the gate and entered the passcode. I parked the black SUV and pulled the key out the ignition.

I walked side by side with Olivia as well held all the gifts she got. We rang the door bell and Kylie opened up, "Hey guys". I mumbled a small hi and Olivia smiled.

We got into the room and stacked all the gifts together, "Open them tomorrow", I said smirking. She turned towards me walking slowly pressing her hand against my chest nodding her head then brushing right pass me.

Damn, I just wanna... bang her so bad right now.

6 days later

"Happy New Years Eve!", the young brunette cheered.

Olivia held tightly onto my arm

Olivia and I soon parted so we would go our separate ways.

I was with my crew, Alex, Rob, and Zach. We sat in a group drinking, conversing about the girls.

Olivia

I ran away from the huge crowds, and found my way to the eating area. The party wasn't all that crazy, there was music but it wasn't thumping like the usual this was a chill party. I wasn't in the mood to drink, or eat I just needed time, time to settle in. Last time I was here I was shot and barely breathing.

I watched all the other adults talk business. My eyes scanned the place until I saw someone, something I did not expect to see.

He's still alive?

Wait a minute...

I'm confused

I think it's time for me to go back inside. I got up slowly making my way inside the couple filled room. I felt so alone, because I didn't have my boyfriend with me. I just went over to the drinks and grabbed myself a water.

I sat down on a comfy black seat that was set out. I watched everyone drink, kiss, and converse. I took a sip of my water and ran my palm across my forehead.

Seeing all these couples made me think, was my relationship with Austin serious?

Maybe I just have to wait, I need to give it time to settle.

I casually looked around the nicely lit room until I saw Austin walking into the crowd and over to where I was. He stopped at the drinks analyzing what alcoholic mix he wanted then he looked up making eye contact with me. A small smile crept on his face as he jogged over to me.

"Hey", I said standing up. "Hi", he whispered into my ear snaking his arms around my waist. The way he smelled literally was making me weak already.

He pulled back, "Let's go sit down somewhere", I said holding his hand. I guided him where I thought would be perfect for us to sit.

We sat closely together watching everybody wait for New Years to come.

11:45 p.m.

"When are we leaving back home?", I asked leaning my head against his shoulder. He hummed, "Tomorrow probably"

"Why?", he added sounding a bit worried. "I just want to be with you in our condo, snuggling", I crinkled my nose letting a small laugh escaped my mouth.

11:59 p.m.

Austin grabbed my face smashing his lips against mines. His hands slide down to my waist as we softened the kiss.

I know this sound super cliché, but I felt the sparks in the air around us.

We pulled back making eye contact. His plump lips were a rosy color glistening from the colorful lights of the party. The corners of his lips curved slightly, but I on the other hand couldn't help, but smile ear to ear.

"Happy New Years Austin"
