Chapter 5

Be Karkat==>

I finally heard the bell for our last period ring and sighed in relief, the teacher was ranting on about something no one really cared about and I was starting to lose brain cells. I got my things together and walked out of class with Kanaya following behind me. We walked to the bus area and waited for our bus to arrive. Kanaya was saying something about her drama class when Terezi and Sollux decided to show up and interrupt her. I slightly rolled my eyes and droned them out trying to find something more interesting to focus on. I saw Rose hanging out with Egbert and Harley and was about to call her over when I saw Dave walk up. He didn't look okay and they all seemed to notice but John. Not gonna lie that kid is denser than a fucking rock sometimes. I felt Kanaya grab my arm and pull me over when she started walking over to Rose. I softly groaned knowing Jade and John would be ecstatic to talk to me and I frankly wasn't in the mood for their bubbly nature. I sighed and stood in between Kanaya and John. "Hi Karkat! What's up?" I looked at him and kinda shrugged. "Nothing really, I'm fucking tired and got a shit ton of homework. He frowned "Aw man! that sucks I was going to invite you over for a movie marathon but if you're busy it's fine!" He beamed again and I sighed. "Oh my gosh, you don't know Dave do you?? What kind of friends are we for not introducing you two!" Dave kinda cowered behind Rose when he was automatically added to the conversation. John grabbed his arm and pulled him over, well more like yanked, Dave almost tripped. He pulled away and kinda shoved John before signing at him. John softly laughed. "Sorry! I just want you to meet Karkat! He's a total jerk but he's really not that bad once you get to know him!" He smiled and Dave looked up at me sheepishly and signed a greeting. I slightly rolled my eyes and signed back not in the mood to talk. 'So are you going to tell Egbert we've met before or leave him clueless?' Dave just kinda shrugged and his expression said he honestly couldn't give a shit. I nodded and felt Kanaya tug at my arm. Our bus was here and we had to go. "Oh. Okay, um, fuck you Egbert." I flipped him off and waved to Jade, Rose and Dave before following Kanaya to the bus.

Not gonna lie, Karkat is pretty cool but also a dick. I can totally roll with that though. I went back to my convo with Jade until Rose and I had to leave. We sat together on the bus and I texted John while she read a new book she had gotten recently. After about 20 minutes or so we got to Rose's stop and we got off walking to her house. Dirk and Hal had gone home with the Zahhak's and Roxy was staying after school with Jane so it was just the two of them and Rose's Mom, her aunt and... uncle? I had never really confirmed the relationship between Rose and her aunt's "friend." Whatever it didn't matter. What did matter is that he was away from Bro. Rose and I walked inside and heard the TV, Rose lead me to the living room before locating her mother and telling her that I would be staying for a while. We gave her the legitimate excuse of me being, well, me, and my Bro not being cool with it. She said I was welcomed to stay as long as I needed. I thanked her and walked out with Rose as she led me to her room, on the way I saw her aunt in the kitchen with mystery dude. Don't know and don't really care. I need to talk to Rose about shit. Really just a feelings jam but you get the idea. We talked for about an hour before Hal came to see what we were up to. He had just gotten home with Dirk who was talking to "D", it was obviously a nickname and I assumed it was Mr.Sir downstairs. I didn't ask not wanting to interrupt the current conversation that Rose and Hal were now having. I started to daydream and space out until Rose snapped in front of my face. I slightly flinched and looked at her 'What?', she slightly rolled her eyes and smiled, "Hal is taking orders so my aunt can order us Chinese." I slightly nodded and though for second. I really wasn't hungry but I knew Rose would make me eat something. I softly sighed telling her I would just have some white rice. She nodded and translated the sign language to Hal who nodded and left. I continued to quietly think as Rose finished the last of her homework that she had been doing while we were talking. I layed back on her bed and stared at her bedroom ceiling. It had been somehow painted a dark purple. Maybe it was wallpaper, whatever, she had like the little glow in the dark stars on the tops on her walls and all over the ceiling. Not gonna lie it looked pretty damn cool, especially with the lights off. After about another 30 minutes or so our food arrived and we were called downstairs by Rose's mom. Roxy had gotten home about five minutes before the food did so she was a little upset that she didn't get to order anything, but other than that she didn't really care. Dirk and Hal shared their eggrolls with her to shut her up.

I had texted Kankri and told him that I was going over to Kanaya's to hang out and do homework. That was over two hours ago and my homework hasn't left my backpack. Not yet at least, Sollux or Terezi usually let me copy. I was watching a movie in Kanaya's room while she did a book report next to me. We sat in silence, I didn't want to interrupt her thought process and I was too focused on the movie. After a little while Porrim walked in and asked Kanaya something. I wasn't paying attention until she stepped in front of the TV screen. I deadpanned and looked up at her with a bored expression. I wanted to watch my goddamn movie but she had to have all the attention in the room other wise she'd shrivel up and die. I sighed and buried my face into Kanaya's comforter. Kanaya continued talking to her older sister and rubbed circles into my upper back. It was actually a bit comforting and I let her. After I heard Porrim leave I looked up and mentally screamed. FUCKING D:< I missed the great reveal of where the guy confesses his love to the girl. I'm gonna fucking kill Porrim. Better yet, mess with her make-up. That'd get back at her. Kanaya must have been reading my mind because she grabbed the remote and rewinded it to the part where Porrim had walked in. I barely smiled and quietly thanked her. When the movie finished I gently nudged Kanaya. "Are you done with that bullshit report yet?" She quietly sighed. "Sadly No, But, I Am Getting Close To Finishing." She smiled politely and neatly stacked her things before putting  them away in her folder. Her room was a fucking disaster but she always made sure everything for school was organized. I softly scoffed at it and sat up stretching out my limbs. I sighed before sitting back next to Kanaya. "I'm bored now, What do you want to do?" The thought for a moment and glanced around her room in the process. "I'm Not Sure, Would You Like To Go Ask My Mother What's For Dinner?" I shrugged and nodded, "Fuck it, sure."

Be Dave==>

After Rose and I finished dinner we sat in the living room with everyone else. I had finally learned the identity of what's his face. He is Rose's uncle and his nickname was D. Married to her aunt. They were somehow tangled together on the recliner while D had his laptop typing quickly while Roslyn, Rose's aunt, was reading. Not gonna fucking lie, they are polar opposites but somehow matched up perfectly. Roxy and Hal said they shipped it. Anyway. Dirk had insisted on watching Ouran High School so that's what we were currently doing. It was alright, still not really sure why Dirk is so obsessed with Tamaki and Honey but I'm not gonna judge. Rose kept talking about how the twins looks exactly like Dirk and Hal and that they should cosplay but they kept shooting it down. But then Roxy started agreeing and then Hal went with it. Hal is really protective and clingy to Roxy, it's sweet but some times it's overbearing and just plain annoying. I had started to lean my head on Rose's shoulder because I was getting tired and D started teasing us about it. Rose snapped at him saying that she could never do anything like that to Kanaya even if her life depended on it. Roslyn softly chuckled cause damn did she roast D. I closed my eyes and quietly sighed. Rose and I went to her room and started getting ready for bed. That's when I panicked. I had a short sleeve shirt for a sleep top and my arms were covered in cuts and bruises from Bro and myself. I quickly slipped on my dark red hoodie with a brighter red cog on it and sat on the bed that Rose had made up for me on the floor. I pulled my knees up to my chest and started reading the names of the books on her shelves. Some poems, auto biographies, mostly shitty vampire romance novels. I have no idea how she can even read that shit but I know she's read the fuckers at least three times. Eventually she walked into her room and grabbed her phone presumably texting Kanaya, I decide to pull my laptop from my bag and start surfing the web for a while. I didn't have anything else to do so I just ended up going through social media feed and doing random bullshit. Rose fell asleep while texting so I plugged in her phone so it wouldn't have a dead battery in the morning. Then I pulled her blankets over her and turned off the lights before getting resituated in my conksuck bed. I turned down the brightness of my laptop screen and made sure it was on mute, I wouldn't want to wake up Rose, she get's cranky as fuck if she doesn't get enough beauty sleep. 

(( hi, so, I'm not dead. A little bit but I'm still writing. So, funny story, The one day I had motivation to write, my internet decided to go fuck itself. Fun fun fun. So happy that its not working. Not like I needed it or anything. :) Sarcastic smiley face. (I'm going to kill myself *^*) anyways. _/(.-.)\_  I made an extra long chapter, or at least I tried. ;-;  -author-kun))
