I couldn't sleep at all last night. Witch. I wasn't a witch. I couldn't even read Jagger's mind. I had healed him, that's got to count for something. I can't be human though, that's for sure. Witchess were ugly with green faces and warts. I was no witch.

I had been up for an hour now trying to avoid going downstairs but I really had to pee. I slowly crept out of my room, I put one foot into the hall and the old wood creaked under my weight.

"Tempest!" Dads voice boomed upstairs. Curse this old house.

"Yea daddy?" I asked as sweetly as I could.

"Come down here."

I came downstairs and dad was sitting at the kitchen table with a frown on his face. "You want to explain that?" He nodded to the living room.

"Carter and I got wild last night." I teased hoping to ease the tension rolling off him.

He slowly got up out of his chair and picked up something off the ground that I must have forgotten. It was a picture frame cracked into a million pieces. It wasn't just any picture frame, it was the picture frame holding our last family picture with my mother still alive.

"How?" He asked.

"Carter scared me, then I got scared and pushed the coffee table into the wall and everything else fell." I explained.

"So it's Carter's fault?" He said raising an eyebrow. Well crap now I blamed it on him.

"No," I said looking down at my feet.

We stayed silent for a moment while dad stared at the picture. "Are you going to punish me?"

"Your mother would be very disapointed with you." He said handing me the picture frame and walking outside to go to work.

I looked down at the frame, there was a huge piece missing in the middle with cracks all around it. A tear slid down my cheek and landed on the broken frame. Whenever he pulled the mom card I lost it.

I set the frame down and buried my head in my hands letting loose the tears. I finally looked up and saw the picture frame, except it wasn't broken. It was fixed, no cracks no pieces missing. It was just like before. I went into the living room, the wall was fixed, the coffee table was in one piece, and everything that I'd thrown out was back together just like before.

How did I do this? More importantly how was I going to explain this to my dad. I ran up the stairs to my bedroom and brought out the grimoire. There had to be something in here to help me.

I flipped through the ancient pages, the edges crumbling under my fingertips. A page that read mind erasing caught my eye. Erase anyone's mind of any event(s). I could just erase him seeing the mess. That might fix things.

What if I accidently erased more than I baragened for? This was worth the chance. I read the instructions, I had to visualize the events I wanted erased while making some sort of body or aura contact with him.

Aura contact? What did that mean? Whatever, I could just do it when he got home.

The sound of the phone ringing scared me causing my book to slam shut and fly up to my room. I fumbled to grab the phone.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Tempest, I need you to take the containers from our leftovers from Coraline back to the Moore's." Dads voice said on the other line. I couldn't go back there not with them callin me a witch.

"Can't yo-"

"No! You'll take them." His voice boomed over the line causing me to take it away from my ear.

"Okay," The line clicked dead.

I went upstairs, slipped on one of Carter's old sweaters and a pair of jeans. I grabbed the containers off the counter and slipped on my uggs.

Did he really expect me to walk? I didn't hae a cwr of my own because I always got Carter to drive me, but he went with his family to the city for the weekend.

I stepped out into the frigid air, I could see my breaths coming out in puffs. It was that time of year when it was to warm to snow but too cold be nice fall weather.

I started my journey along the sidewalk, taking all the turns like if we'd driven. Why wasn't I going through the forest? It wasn't like it was dark and I grew up in these woods. I turned off the path into the woods. The trees were shading out what remained as the sun causing my surroundings to look dank.

I heard the sound of rustling leaves towards my left, I turned my head and a figure blurred by me. I jumped back, startled, dropping the containers in the process.

"Who's there?" I called.

I heard more rustling, "Is anyone here?" I called.

I started to walk, leaving the containers behind. It's just some wild animal, as long as I got to the Moore's. I heard a growl from behind, I whipped my head back and saw nothing but forest. I sped up until I was at a light jog.

In the blink of an eye a huge wolf came into my path. When I say it was huge I mean massive, like 3 times bigger than a bear. I screamed at the sight of it's bloody face and mouth.

"Help! Someone help!" I yelled as it started coming towards me.

"Please!" I begged with tears threatening to run down my face. I held out my hands to stop the massive creature.

I got that feelin in the pit of my stomach that I knew this was it. How could I escape this? It was obviously very ferious and didn't like me. I let a single tear run down my face and crouched down into the fetal position.

When I didn't feel the ripping or tearing of my skin I looked up. The wolf was staring at me, it had a curious expression in its eyes. It had stopped coming towards me. Maybe if I stayed on the ground it would go away.

It took a step closer and my body started to tremble making the wolf stop and back up. I held out a hand catiously as I got up off the dirty ground.

I heard a howl in the distance and the creature turned its head toward the sound. It looked at me, then back in the direction of the howl. It turned to me and in a flash was gone.

I did some much needed breathing to bring myself out of shock.

"I think it was over hear!" I heard a voice, I recognized that voice.

"Stupid Werewolves coming onto our territory." Another voice said.

In the blonk of an eye Avon and Keller were both standing right where the wolf had stood. They had blood running down their faces from their mouths and their clothing was tattered. A sound of shock climbed up my throat drawing the attention of the 2 bloodied kids.

"Tempest!" Avon gasped in shock.

"You...your f...face." I tried to say while pointing a shaking hand in there direction.

"Tempest I think you should come with us." Keller said in that soft killer voice, not just the boice but him. He was a killer.

They started to walk towards me, "No!" I shrieked swipping a hand out in Keller's direction throwing him back several feet.

"Stay away from me!" I called.

I turned around and ran like my life depended on it. The trees started to blur around me, probably from my tear filled eyes. I was terrified, I just wanted to curl into a ball and give up.

"Tempest!" Avon caught me into a hug like position from behind. I cried out again and threw my hand back, I didn't wait to see where she landed. All that mattered was that I was going to be safe.
