Chap 16: Best Day Eva.

Jenny comes to my house since her parents aren't home and fills me in about Dalton and Maddy.

"...and then the other day we saw her and he acted all love-struck!"

She finishes explaining and I do my best to calm her.

"Jenny he hasn't seen her in years, I think. I'm sure he's just shocked."

"No, you should have seen the way he looked at her." She hides her face in her hands and sulks.

"He loves you Jenny, Gabe told me so. He said Dalton has never looked at a girl like he does with you." It's true.

"Really?" She lifts her face, showing her heartbreaking bloodshot eyes.

"Yes Jenny, he loves you not her."

She smiles then, gives me a hug for my comfort and walks into my kitchen grabbing chocolate covered popcorn from the fridge.

"Here have some." She says and offers me my popcorn.

I chuckle, "thanks Jenny."

"So what are we going to do for your birthday?"

"I was thinking just a stay at home party, just have you all over and order pizza?"

"I'd love that, honestly. But I think everyone else is going to be looking foward to partying."

"Yeh your right, don't want to bore Cole on my birthday." I say sarcasticly. "I don't want it to be as big as Gabe's though."

"You know what? Leave it to us, we'll plan it all."

Oh hell no.

"I don't think so... and i'll have to do your hair." I say not wanting to hurt her feelings.

"Don't worry about my hair, silly! Please, Gabe will help me, we'll make sure Cole doesn't!"

"Uh, OK fine." I give in still unsure.

Jenny sleeps over and we get ready for school in the morning. We both wear the boring checkered skirt, I let her borrow my old uniform including the blue polo shirt.

We walk to Janet's house and meet Katie at lockers, the day goes on at school with same old boring subjects and annoying teachers.

Thank god there is only a few weeks left of year 12! And then I graduate and life is going to be awesome.

As soon as I turn 18 i'm going to get my liscense!

The week goes on until finally my birthday arrives!

Since Gabe was helping plan the party and Cole wasn't, we went out to casually hang at the mall.

I have to say out of all the guys besides Gabe, Cole and I are closest.

We walk into TopShop, I don't know why I bother going in there everything is gorgeous but just so expensive and I never buy anything.

I browse around the dresses and Cole helps me choose something to wear for the party.

"How are you and your girlfriend?... Maggie." I ask while looking at an orange dress.

"She's been in Greece, that's why we havn't seen her lately. But she's coming in a couple of weeks and I can't wait!"

"Oh wow! I'm sorry I havn't asked... I just didn't think, you know... That she wanted to be around us?"

I say guiltily.

"You thought she was a snob?" He asks.

"What? No!"

I think he's about to go all defensive but he laughs instead.
