Chapter 3

“May I take your order for drinks?" The waiter asked. “I'll have a soda" Aaron, Billy, Zak and Jay replied. “I'm good with water" Katie said. The waiter writes it down and leaves. While everyone talks,Katie was quiet for some reason. “So, where is our next location?" Aaron asked, looking at his phone. “We're visiting the house where the Black Dahlia's killer used to live" Jay replied. Katie suddenly flinches and Billy and Zak noticed it. “You alright?" Billy asked, putting a hand on Katie's shoulder. “Yeah, I'm fine. Just remembered something" Katie replied, smiling softly. Aaron looks at Katie. “You travel around a lot, your husband or boyfriend must be really lonely now" Billy said, looking at Katie. “I never had a boyfriend or husband my whole life. I tried having one but, it just never worked out" Katie explained. “So, who keeps you company?" Zak asked. “My cute baby Husky. His name is Hunter. I adopted him last week. He's a month old. He's a cutie" Katie replied. Zak smiles at Katie. “You sure are a dog lover" Aaron said. “Always have, Always will be" Katie said, giggling. 'She sure is a good woman. Why wouldn't any man like her?' Zak thought while looking at Katie with a smile on his face. “Here are your drinks" the waiter said while walking toward the table.

Katie's P. O. V
After the waiter set down our drinks, I was thinking about my life without a partner. Sure, I had a few boyfriends here and there but, they only lasted either for a week or even a day. I look at Zak and he probably sensed my sadness because he started making fun of Aaron. I tried not to laugh. I said I tried because after 10 seconds, I started laughing quietly. “What's so funny?" Aaron asked. I keep laughing. “She just laughed out of nowhere" Jay said. Zak laughs a little. I cover my face since it was turning red. After years not seeing my best friend, I haven't laughed this much. Just the question and Zak's funny face made me laugh even more. “I made a face and she started laughing" Zak said while I tried to stop.

30 minutes later - 3rd P. O. V
After arriving at the hotel, Katie was walking to her hotel room. Aaron, Zak, Billy, and Jay were in the same hotel and same floor as her. “If anything happens, come to our room. Mine is 208, Aaron's next to mine, Billy and Jay's 206" Zak said, looking at Katie. “Alright. I'm 210" Katie said while hugging her new friends and her best friend. “Good night Katie" the crew said. “Good night" Katie said and closes her door.

1:00 a.m.
“Stop hurting me!" Katie yells and wakes up. John wakes up and turns on the light. “You alright?" John asked, looking at his sister. “Yeah. Just another nightmare" Katie replied, panting heavily. Suddenly, they hear a knock on the door. Katie fixes her shirt and walks towards the door. She opens it and Aaron had a camera while Jay had a plate of cookies. Zak and Billy were laughing. “Are you guys on drugs?" Katie asked while John walks towards them. “We just couldn't sleep so, we made cookies" Jay replied. “Well, you guys look like you're high right now with the laughing" Katie said and everyone laughs quietly. John grabs a cookie. Katie grabs one as well and closes the door behind her. “Let's get some milk" Zak said and starts walking. “Are you guys always like this?" Katie asked and Billy nods. “We're the cookie mans at every hotel" Billy said and Katie laughs. Aaron and Jay laughs as Zak trips on something. “Alright, you guys need to go to bed. Let's go" Katie said while helping Zak up. “Aaron's vlog, that's Katie, my high school friend" Aaron said and points the camera to Katie. “We were eating cookies and Zak was walking and tripped on something and she's helping him up" Aaron said and Zak fixes his black shirt. “Well, I was having fun in cookie land until I fell" Zak said and everyone laughs. “Alright, boys, time to go to bed" Katie said. “But Mooooom" Aaron, Billy, and Jay tease. “No buts misters. Go to bed" Katie said, looking at Aaron. “Dad, we want another hour" Aaron teased while pointing the camera to Zak. Zak blushes after thinking about him and Katie being together. This night was really fun but, deep down, Katie felt like she was being watched.....
