Few days later Katie was getting ready to go home after a few days at the hospital. Zak decided to stay a few days in LA to make sure Katie was alright. The GAC managed to do the lockdown at the haunted hospital. "Ready to go? Got your notepad and pen?" Zak asked and Katie nodded. She still isn't able to speak and she has to go to speech therapy next week. Katie starts walking with Zak. He was looking at his phone and had a text from Mark:
Text Conversation Mark Hey Zak, I need to get some more stuff for Katie's welcome home party
Zak Cool. I'll see you there 😉
Zak puts his phone away and keeps walking towards his car. Katie looks at Zak and fixes her duffle bag. Zak opens the door and Katie gets in. He closes the door and goes to the driver's seat. He gets in, closes the door, and starts driving. "Want to go somewhere before going to Mark's house?" Zak asked. Katie nods slowly and goes to look at the window. Zak looks at Katie while driving. He smiles at Katie's beauty. Katie looks at Zak and he keeps driving. Katie writes something and shows it to Zak. It said: "I want to go to the mall. I want to buy something." Zak nods and drives to the mall. Once he gets there, Katie gets out and waits for him to come with her. He looks at Katie and gets out of the car. She smiles and starts walking.... well skipping. It's been a while since she last went to the mall. Zak looks at her and records her. "Katie, what are you doing?" he asked and Katie stops skipping. She glares at Zak and starts walking normally. "That's how you stop a girl from skipping" Zak said and stops recording. She punches Zak lightly and they giggle. She's still able to giggle but, not laugh fully. Zak keeps walking and Katie looks at Zak. She smiles softly as she remembered how sweet and protective Zak was when she was at the hospital. Once they go inside, she immediately goes to Hot Topic. "Okay?" Zak said, raising an eyebrow. Katie looks around and smiles as she finds the perfect thank you gift for Zak. She grabs the items that she wanted, pays for it, and goes towards Zak. "That was fast" Zak said while walking towards Katie. Katie gives Zak the bag and makes the motion of opening the bag. Zak opens the bag and smiles. He takes out a Dracula necklace from the bag. He also takes out a bracelet.

"Katie, you shouldn't have" Zak said, smiling. Katie writes on the notepad and shows it to Zak. The notepad said: "I should give you something. You were nice and protective of me in the hospital. I'm going to forgive you. I'm sorry for being a bitch." Zak looks at Katie and hugs her. She hugs him back and pats his back cutely. "It's alright. I shouldn't have invited Christine, even though she invited herself to my house" Zak said, smiling softly. They make a few errands in the mall and Zak starts driving back to Mark's house. "Hey Katie, this may sound awkward now but, I love you" Zak said and Katie makes a heart with her hands. Zak smiles and keeps driving. Katie was blushing and smiling softly.
