Chapter 26

The game was going pretty good. Zak and Katie were wearing random stuff while Mark was soaking wet and Jack was on the floor, laughing. They finished recording as well. "That was awesome" Mark said and laughs. Katie was giggling. "Oh man, that was the best game ever" Jack said, wiping his tears away. Zak nods and helps Katie stand up. "I better get my stuff ready, I leave in 2 days" Zak said, looking at everyone sadly. "Oh yeah, you leave Tuesday as well as Jack. Maybe on Monday we can go on a friendly dinner date" Mark suggested. "I don't think we can go on a frien-Ow!" Zak started to say but Katie puts her hand on his mouth, almost slapping him and she nods. "It has to be early and we can't get drunk" Jack said. "Alright. We won't" Mark said and leaves with Jack to get dried up. Zak and Katie look at each other for a while. He smiles at Katie's grey eyes looking at his blue ones. "Why did you stop me?" Zak asked, wrapping an arm around her waist and leaning closer to her. She shrugs and smiles. "You want this dinner date huh?" Zak asked and Katie nodded as a reply. Katie makes motions saying "I love you". Zak looks at Katie and smiles. "Love you too, Katie" Zak whispered in her ear and kisses Katie's cheek. He goes to the kitchen, leaving Katie a blushing mess.

Monday
"What place can we go eat?" Jack asked, looking at everyone. Katie raises her hand as a little kid in school. "Yes Katie?" Mark said and Katie shows them a board. The board said: "I want some steak." Zak looks at Mark and Jack. "Want to go somewhere that has steak?" Zak asked and she nods.

Katie's P. O. V
Don't these boys understand that I like steak? I can't speak but, I know how to show my emotions. Doctor said I won't be able to speak for 6 months or more. That thought scares me a lot. "Alright, we can go to a barbeque restaurant" Mark said and I smile. "I love barbeque" Zak said. See, he gets me. Jack and Mark smile while looking at Zak and myself. Ever since Zak kissed me on the cheek, I felt like I want to be with him again. "We go to the restaurant at 5 o'clock. It's 10:00 a.m. so we have time to do stuff" Jack said, petting Hunter. Chica was laying on my lap. I try to whistle and Hunter runs towards me and licks my cheek. I giggle and pet my now 2 month old Husky. Zak smiles and thinks about Gracie. "Katie, want to take a hike with Hunter and Chica?" Zak asked. I shake my head. Lately, I haven't been feeling well. Mark and Jack gave me medicines but, it didn't work. "You alright?" Zak asked and I shake my head. I pointed to my stomach and my forehead. Zak touches my forehead and then lays me down. "I'll bring you some medicines, alright. Stay there" Zak said and runs to the bathroom. I pet Hunter while Chica followed Zak. I look at Hunter and he licks my hand. I think he's trying to reassure me that I'll be fine. Zak comes back and gives me my medicine. "I'll be back with water" he said and goes to the kitchen. Mark and Jack come to the living room. "You alright, Kate? Zak told us about your fever. We can call delivery and have a movie night. I'm not risking your health" Mark said and I nod slowly. Great, I ruined the plans. "Don't be sad. At least we're here for each other" Jack said, smiling. I smile a little and Zak comes back with a glass of water. Hunter barks and wags his tail. "Yes, this is for Mommy. Let her get up" Zak said while Hunter gets comfortable in my chest. I need to let him stop that. Hunter barks and lays his head down. Zak looks at Hunter and sits down. I giggle.

Few hours later
It was midnight and I was hugging Zak and Jack. They were leaving to Vegas and Ireland. Mark was in the car, waiting for them. Sometimes, he hates goodbyes. This is one of them. "Take good care, Katie. Call us if anything happens" Jack said, his voice cracking. I nod. Jack gets in the car. Zak keeps hugging me. I tried my best not to cry but, that failed. "Please be careful, Kate. I'll call you once I land in Vegas" Zak whispered, rubbing circles on my back. I nod and keep crying. Zak keeps hugging me and then gets in the car. They all wave at me and I wave back. I really wanted to go but, I can't. I have a match next Monday against Dana Brooke. I don't know what to do when it comes to do my promo. I'll see what I will do....
