"Adria , have you heard?"
"Heard what?"
"Candice and Jay are together now."
It felt as if her world has stopped. It happened all too fast , didn't it? Her heart had skip a beat , falling down to the pit of her stomach. In order for her to not expose any suspicions , she tried her best to smile. Tears wanted to spurt out as fast as possible so she excused her self and quickly ran to the bathroom.
She locked herself up in one of the comfort units and thought to herself , "get your crap together , you knew this was going to happen." She couldn't say it aloud , scared someone might hear her. She was breathing heavily. Call her dramatic but she couldn't help it. Ten years and it all ended with this? A not so happy ending.

"Ron! Have you heard the news?"
" What news? Unicorns exist?"
"No you Unicorn freak , Candice and Jay are together! We should all celebrate!"
"Oh damn." Ron whistled happily , but then he remembered Adria . He excused himself and texted her. She's definitely in the bathroom thinking to herself silently crying and telling herself to get her crap together cause she knew this was gonna happen. Ron thought.
Ron : heard the news. U in the bathroom ? Let's make up an excuse that you're sick so that we can go home and I'll comfort you :(

Meanwhile , Adria recieved a text from Ron. She could barely even breathe.

Adria liked the idea. It was the second to the last period of the day anyway , and Candice and Jay were announced official by lunch.
Adria: (thumbs up sign)
Ron waited outside the bathroom , leaning against the wall with one foot raised.
Adria made sure her she looked normal. In the restroom she was palpitating like there was no tomorrow. As soon as she encountered Ron , she gave him a tight hug.
"Right. Right. Let's go home now you poor little teenager with hormones." Ron said putting an arm over his bestfriend. They were gonna go through the front door but it was blocked by non other than the new couple.
Ron turned around instantly before Adria could see , having her face buried in his chest as they walked.
"let's pass by the back door instead for a change-."

As soon as they arrived at Ron's house , since his mother and father was away for work , they both went up to his room and he grabbed a box in his closet. There was a title on the top that says , in case adria's miserable.
He placed it beside Adria , who's back was against the bed. She laughed slightly remembering the many times she's seen this box. He opened it and grabbed out a very cosy and warm blanket , and wrapped Adria around like a burrito. He also took out a diy journal he made that says "why adria was sad. 2016 edition." And so he wrote , "Today Adria was miserable because Jay and Candice are finally together. " he placed it back , and got a harry potter and the philosopher's stone , starting a Harry Potter marathon. He also grabbed Adria's favorite mug which was a marauder's map mug that is heat sensitive , so once you've poured hot something in it , the words mischief managed will appear. He plans to make hot cocoa for her , so he left for a short while , and came back to see a sulking Adria.
Ron started the movie and wrapped his arms around his little burritto and kissed the top of her forehead.
"It's been years Adria. Let it go. "
"that sure is so fudging easy, Ron. Wow, look , I said the magic words. Let it go. Now I'm free and happy and totally not broken." She mumbled on Ron's chest.
"Despite this situation , you're still being sarcastic?"
"They're picking up trash tomorrow , Ron. Be ready."
She took out her phone and layed her head on Ron's lap. As she was scrolling down her facebook feed , she saw Jay's post. Now Jay RARELY posts on facebook.

Even though she hated to say those , she had to force herself to be happy for them. To be happy for him. She was now in a state of pure sadness , but Ron was there for her. He hugged her tightly.
"I hate feelings." She said, almost wanting to cry. But she's not stupid. She can't cry over a boy. She's Adria!
"I'm here." Ron whispered.
"you know Adria .. You must really love Jay , huh? Because you can't hate him for breaking your heart.."
"It hurts Ron.. and it's annoying. But it's fine.. I'm used to it. ...but this.. Ron I'm so sorry. I'm always a mess , and I keep talking about him - I know how much this affects you too.. I'm so sorry.." She apologized, sitting up to give Ron a proper hug.
"Adria it's okay. I already know that you won't see me , in the way I see you. It hurts too , but hey , I've been going through that my whole life. We're in the same boat here , ahhaha. But seeing you hurt , pains me. I can't let you down. " Ron blabbered , stroking Adria's hair.
"I'm so sorry , I'm such a jerk."
