10. He's a Phantom

After thirty minutes in the specter speeder, people started to complain. "Ugh!" Paulina slurred, "Are we there yet?"

Danny started to twitch again, but Tucker soothed him. "It's okay, it's okay. I got this," he goes to the back and tells Paulina, "We're almost there. Just a few more minutes... Seconds... Hours? I don't know the ghost zone like he does."

"Okay, curve to the left and head straight," Danny told her parents who wouldn't let him drive. "Why can't I drive?"

"YOU CAN DRIVE THIS!?" Maddie shouted, "YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS IN THE PORTAL AT ALL!"

"The first time was an accident. The other hundred times were not." he mumbled.

"HUNDREDS!!" The parents shriek. They pulled the Spector Speeder to a halt and turned around.

"How exactly did you get here first time?" Maddie questioned. 'Let's see you lie your way out of this one.'

"Um," he looked at the small class and teacher leaning forward to listen, "can we talk about that later? When they aren't around?"

"This bus isn't moving until you tell us," Maddie scowled.

Danny sighed. He could just tell what happened, inside the speeder, goes inside the ghost zone, runs into Walker, etc. But he was afraid they'll ask follow-up questions, and if he answers them, there'll be even more suspicion. "Um, okay. So I was playing around in the speeder and accidentally pressed a button. Ja-- dad was playing with the portal and opened it, so I accidentally went in. I met the friend we going to see and some others. Now I go in here daily." He shrugged off as the speeder bus continues to move. 'At least the first part is true..'

"Were you scared?" Paulina gasped.

"Y-yeah! Of course I was! Who wouldn't be scared?"

Dash smirked, "I wouldn't have been! Hell, I've would of stay there and beat up a ghost! You're just was too weak to stay!" he bragged as Danny twitched.

"Keyword: was," Paulina winked at the blushing Danny.

Turning his attention back to the road, (or in this case, swirls) Danny quickly yells, "STOP!" Making the bus screech to a halt, "alright guys, we're here! Mom, lower us down." As soon as the speeder landed, Danny gestured everyone out. "There we go," Danny smirked only to turn to his mother.

"Um, what do you think doing?" she scowled.

Danny sighed and pointed up, "that kinda light blue door up there. That's my friend's realm. I'm just gonna talk to her and we'll be ready to go! Now if you'll excuse me," he tries to shimmy through her, but fails.

"Well I'm coming too! And I'm driving," she sneered. 'Phantom and that other ghost could be planning to kill us! I just need a teeny, tiny, little but more of proof before I destroy Phantom once and for all!'

"But it's not gonna take long! I'll be back in at least five minutes," he argued, "now if you'll excuse me."

Maddie moves back in his way and says, "I'm coming too... And that's final!"

Danny was gonna protest, but realized it would be useless. "Fine," he grouches, "let's go. But please don't revoke her. She's kinda a... Hothead." Danny mentally laughs as he gets in shotgun.

"Just go up?" Maddie asks.

Danny sighs, "yes! Let's go!" Maddie glares at him, but processes. Two minutes later, Danny tells her to stop.

"Wait, how do you know that's the right door?" Questioned Maddie.

The irritated halfa sighs again, "I don't know! Probably because it's the only light blue door!" He points to the door dramatically and Maddie rolled her eyes.
