13. Finally//Black Cat

Silence

It can be a creepy thing. Specially in a situation like this. Everyone,  including Ember and Tucker, back up a little knowing something was gonna go down.

"What?" Danny gritted his teeth at Maddie, who pretended not to be intimidated.

"I can't let her go! She's a ghost AND a human! This has never been scene before!" Not wanting to get involved, Jack slowly nodded in agreement from behind.

Danny eye twitched badly. "Mom," he said, cringing at the word, "Give me My sister..." Everyone felt queasy at calmness of his voice. 'Something bad is going to happen...' They all thought.

Maddie scoffed, "Danny, she not sister, oka--"

"I SAID GIVE ME MY SISTER!!" Valerie and Tucker quickly grabbed Danny, who almost jumped on Maddie.

"Dude, calm down!" Tucker yelled.

Ember slightly glared at the ghost hunter. She sighed and put a calm expression on. "Mrs. Fenton, with all due respect, even if you think all ghost are evil, she still half huma--," Ember reasoned only to be cut off.

"Shut it, ghost! The ghost part is probably canceling out the human part!" She growled at the fiery ghost.

Ember sneered, "Are kidding me? Danny loves her and so do I!"

"Like you know my son!"

"I know your son better than you do! Do you even know what today is!?" She angrily asked.

Danny's eyes lit up, "Ember, don't. I-it's okay. Really."

"No it's not!" Ember replied, talking to Danny but glaring at Maddie. "Tell me Madeline. What's today?"

"I-it's Monday, August the eighteenth," Maddie said with little confidence. Valerie's eyes widen, 'today's August the eighteenth? It's Danny's birthday! And Maddie doesn't know...'

Ember's eyebrow raised with a mixed of anger and victory. "It's just... August the eighteenth?

They both stood there in silence. Ember with her smirk still on, and with a confused yet angry expression. 'Ok I'm done with this crap,' Maddie slowly reached for her wrist ray, taking it off safety mode.

"EMBER!! DANNY!!"

"And, yeah, Danny's class"

Ember snapped out of her anger expression and smiled at the male and female voice. "Kitty, Johnny! Can you restrain the angst rocker please?" Danny said, jokingly even though the current situation didn't need that.

Johnny chuckled a little, "we heard yelling. We thought in was just a bunch of insane ghosts but--"

"We found you and Danny," Kitty finished, "so pretty much the same thing."

Maddie smiled, 'more proof, huh?'. "Great more ghost... Danny who are these scums?"

Kitty glared hard while Johnny didn't care. "I'm Johnny 13 and that's my girl Kitty" he put his arm around her, who responded with a eye roll and a small smile.

"Aka Jazz's ex and Ember's only friend" Ember shot a tiny fireball at Danny who blocked it. "Ha! You miss-- Ow!" He taunted only to get a to get a slightly bigger fireball to the arm.

Jack's eyes widened, "I knew he was no good!" He shouted from the back, shaking his fist. Everyone looked at weirdly except for the ghosts and Danny. Paulina also didn't care cause she was to busy staring and the green hair ghost. 'I have a really bad felling about her... I just can't put my finger on it.'

"Anyway," Johnny chuckled, trying to clear the air of awkwardness, "Where are y'all going? And where's the... Spooky Scepter? I forgot the name of it."

"Specter Speeder"

"Yeah that!"

"Some filthy ghost destroyed it!" Maddie growled.

Kitty and Johnny exchanged look before replying, "coming from you, that could be any ghost."

Ember sighed, "Skulker.."

"Oh! Ooh....." Johnny basic growled.

Valerie slowly made her way towards the other side where Maddie was standing. She quickly grabbed the cube a threw it and Danny.

The largest smile came onto Danny's face. "Thank you Val! Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!!"

He pulled the huntress into a bear hug. "I.. Cannot.... Breathe." She gasped, then Danny let her go.

"DANIEL JAMES FENTON!!" Maddie screeched, "Give me the damn cube."

Danny eyes narrowed, "No! I don't care if your my mother, I'm letting my sister go!"

'This ghost is in my way of breaking histo-- wait a minute..'

"Go ahead," she said as she crossed her arms, "Opened it.

The halfa examined the cube, soon realizing that there's nothing but a keyhole. "What the..."

The ghost hunter then took the cap off and poured the substance in the cube. "When we get to the ghost zone, it'll trap Phantom with a push of a button. And then," she pulls out a green key, "when we get back I can--"

"Crap."

Maddie laughed in a sinister, but normal, way. "Your father has the key," she pointed at Jack, who has a sympathetic look for Danny, "And he isn't giving it."

Danny's eyes turned green and he growled, "Fine, we'll play that game," he closed his eyes, hoping no one noticed it. "But I hope you know that I'm gonna win.

More silence.

Suddenly, a huge whole ripped with Wulf coming out. "Princess Dora said to come get you cause you were taking to lo--"

Everyone quickly ran into the portal, follow by Paulina speed walking screaming, "my shoes!! Wait for me!"

"Ng.. Where's the Bus??"
