I Have Been Adopted By The Ipliers'

School Starts

I woke up in bed and I remembered it's my first day at school so I got up and got ready in my normal clothes, really just a baggy t-shirt and sweat pants. I got my black sneakers on and a red hoodie cause it was early in the morning and it was probably pretty cold. I grabbed my phone off my bed-side table along with my earbuds and put on some music as I grabbed my black and red backpack on the way out the door. I looked down the hallway and heard nothing so everyone must be asleep. I walked down to the front door and before I could open it someone hugged me from behind which spooked me until I noticed it was actually Dark. "Need something?", I asked and he let me go and shook his head,"Unless your gonna promise me you'll behave and don't get hurt. No I don't.", he said softly in almost a whisper. "Oh, then I promise I'll behave and won't get hurt.", I repeated and smiled and in the small amount of morning light coming from the sun over the horizon through the windows he gave me a faint smile back. "Have a good day.", he said and then slowly dissappered into the darkness of the house. I then went out and didn't walk far to see a few small kids and other teens near my age at the bus stop. I slowly walked up and one of the boys looked over at me and smiled. He had dark curly hair and glasses along with a red hoodie like mine and grey sweats and white sneakers. I smiled back and gave a small wave until a girl popped from the other side and held onto his arm and looked him in the eyes. I saw she looked at him with pure love so I got the conclusion that they were dating then bright lights appeared and that was a clear correct guess that it was the bus. I was last on and got on after the guy who smiled at me and I sat down in the first seat that I could. "So new hmm?", I heard and looked over to see with the small amount of light it was the guy so I must haven't been watching where everyone was sitting. "Y-yeah.", I awsered softly and he smiled,"Well I'll help you if we're able to meet up in anyway possible during the day." he replied and I felt I have already made a friend. I still remember that Jamie and the others went their too but I kinda hoped that maybe I can see this guy some more.

I saw him stand up and I noticed that we were at the school already and we both got off. I started following him before I was pushed to the ground and that girl who was with him earlier climged to his arm. I saw her look back and smirk and tried to pull him away, but he turned around and saw me on the ground then walked over to me. "Hey why you down there?", he said and smiled and I could see the rage in the other girl. "I was pushed down but I'm ok.", I replied and the girl stomped her way over to us and stood in front of me and surprisingly she was shorter then me. "See she's fine Ruben let's go!", she said and glared at me then spun around hitting in the face with the dark brown hair and pulled him away. I followed them but I was a ways back. I sat at a table all by myself not far from them and just tried to ignore everyone by pulling my ear buds out so I could listen to music. I closed my eyes afterward I felt like I was in my own world, a world of color and fun and no one was there to bother me.

I was happy flying around in the colors being myself and just being free until I felt someone touch me and I shot awake. "HUH!?", I exclaimed and noticed it was him smiling across the table at me so I pulled out my ear buds and turned the music off. "Need something?", I asked and he shook his head,"No nothing. But I figure I should introduce myself. I'm Ruben.", he said. I saw at the corner that girl stomped her way over and I was getting pissed that she was doing that. I stood up and looked at her,"What do you want!?", I said and she looked surprised at first but it quickly became a glare of daggers. I could read her mind, not literally, but I could sence she was just here to shoo me off and have Ruben.

She thinks I'm some sort-a competition.

I didn't even like Ruben that much even though he was kinda cute. This isn't helping. She then stopped glaring and smiled,"I just wanted to come over and say 'hi!'. You are new right!?", she shouted with glee. I could see right past this she's gonna be nice at first then I'm gonna be a wimpy girl in the hallway having my ASS KICKED! I looked at her in a un-happy fashion and I guess she hasn't noticed I already have a problem with her. Before anyone could say anything else the bell rang and Ruben walked over to me,"So want me to take you to the office?", he asked and I felt myself smile,"That would be very appreciative of you. Thank you.", I said and he showed me to the office and I got my homeroom it was supposed to be Ms. Jackson but she was full. So, instead of her I got Mrs. Monroe who surprisingly was Ruben's  homeroom. I smiled and I would have to take my backpack with me cause I didn't have a locker, yet. I smiled and Ruben was asked if he would take me to his classes so that I could not be stuck somewhere as they made me a schedule. I didn't have any books so I just put in one of my ear buds and played some music as me and Ruben went to his first period and I tagged along. I caught a glimpse of that girl who glared at me most likely being near "her" man.
